Jan-qui, looks like you and Quicher had a blast! My wife and I went to that when it was in Boston and we had as much fun as you I'm sure. We loved the Millenium Falcon ride. Did you get a pin saying you rode the Falcon?

;D Thanks all.
;D This was for us a much need postive boost since my surgery. I know I was in debate with myself whether to wear my Jedi or not but I'm glad wearing it won out. Quicher likes it when I wear my costume. When I got on my boots I was very pleased with myself because my shoulder worked. I know the therapists are hearing about my costuming & I took a picture of me in costume at the exhibit to show them & they enjoyed it. I'm setting the goal that I want to get back into wearing my costume to do events, working with my lightsabers & that is giving me some of my incentive to push myself---the way the therapists want me to. Exercise & me are NOT natural friends I have to MAKE myself do it.

4. We both had the chance to ride on the spinning-not sure what that is called--both our 1st times. We got to go on the Millennium Falcon---It blew Quicher's mind away. I simply loved being in it. I asked her what her favorite part was & she said everything but the Millennium Falcon was the best. No fair...they didn't have the Falcon at the exhibit when it was in Ft. Worth. Well, they had the models of it, but not the interior. I did get pictures of the inside of the Tantive IV's thingypit...posters included.

Of course in Chicago they had it on the complete opposite side from where the actual Exhibit was---kind of weird--- After I saw where it was I understood why you had to get a special ticket to go inside---not all people who get to see the Star Wars exhibit get to get into the Falcon, which is sad but the way it's set up, I understand. Chicago didn't have the Tantive IV's thingypit. The only thing I can think of is that there was no room right next to the exhibit so all you'd have to do is line up & wait your turn, Like at COSI. They made sure the store was right at the exhibit. I think they should have put the store where the Falcon was & put the Falcon where the store was(people would have found it)--would have been smarter--but they do like to sell things---prices were a bit .. I finally broke down & got the complete OT Radio cd set--I have the casset version of Star Wars but never did get the other 2.

Hi All, Halloween was really a monster this year, so, I was actually offline for a record (for me)2 weeks. Well if I was frantic & busy, I made lots of overtime, and had a couple of really good costume commissions. Hey Jan Qui, glad to hear the shoulder is coming along well! I've decided to go to Reno, NV for New Year's Eve, to see Paul Rodgers and escape from NY City on New Year's Eve. I'll be staying at Circus Circus in Reno, it looks like a really silly place, but I like circus', and it's got a skywalk to the ElDorado, where the concerts are, but it looked nicer, and was cheaper, and the room has a coffee maker, the ElDorado didn't have a coffee maker, and that's just barbaric, even Motel 6 has a coffee maker in the room. I actually have a real day off this week, we have a show at the theatre Monday, this week, and then we are dark on Thanksgiving, I think I'll be sewing, and then maybe a movie. My theatre is on a different contract than the Broadway theatres affected by the strike, but I totally support the stagehands, I used to work for the league, they were miserable to work for, and did everything they could to cut wages, jobs, and make the work conditions unfriendly between staff & management, that's why I left the theatre I was at after 27 years, we are treated like human beings at my current theatre.

;D Great Nova.
;D I had a very good report today on my shoulder: I had an x ray & it shows everything is where it should be. You could say I had a "root canel" in my shoulder from the way the xray looked. I can actually cross over to touch my right shoulder with my left hand--that's a 1st time in many years. Several days ago I attempted to reach my Yoda f/x lightsaber(in my lightsaber display) & was 6 inches from it with my left hand---tonight I was actually able ;D to touch the tip of the Yoda hilt with my left fingers. I think I'm most definitely improving.

;D Greetings Everyone, I finally have had a rare moment when I could get on to post some good news I'm feeling much better, thanks for the prayers. Also I've been helping Jan-Qui get her left shoulder up & moving so she can start using her lightsabers. Jan-Qui's rehab ship has been in slow speed, I'm hoping by next week that we'll slam her into warp speed so that we can make it to Conooga Con. She is definitely a Jedi warrior. She has been working very hard to meet her goal which is to swing a lightsaber with the best of em. God Bless hope to see you all soon.

Glad to hear of the continued good progress Jan Qui. Hi Quicher! Well, I've just had this year's bout of "Technitis", so, I went looking for a usb hub for the laptop, and got a portable photo printer and a digital (mini dvd disc) camcorder. I wasn't really shopping for them, but the sales were so good, I bought them anyway, so, I've charged the battery and loaded the disc and still wading thru the manuel, at least I'm better at camcorders than I am computers. As for the printer, I'm reading the manuel for that as well, it seems like it makes sense, but I need to download some software.......

Hah! They've gone and turned the camcorders into computers! I had to get my boss to set the date and time etc. better yet, I somehow got it stuck in Portuguese as a language....Ahhhh! It's back to english, but I haven't used it yet, it's so small, it's funny, but it does way more than the one I used to have, and it does still photos to, so funny, the other one I had was about $1300 on sale and this was less than $300 w/ an extra battery and some discs, it was a very good sale more than $250 saved on the deal. I think once I figure it out, I'll like it a lot, it's a Canon, dolby stereo and does widescreen or standard, and so many other neat things. I had stopped taking my old camcorder on my trips because the equipment bag had gotten out of control (like a 10 hr broadcasters battery belt pack) and way to many cables and chargers and things, not to mention having to pack along all the 8mm videotapes, then the last time I used it, I was shotting a Metallica Concert and forgot about the pyro at the start of One, and burned the optic, so that was the end of that one. I'm glad I waited this long to replace it, the tech has way improved and the $$$ is way less than it was even a couple of years ago, guess I'll resuscribe to Videomaker magazine, and see how to shoot better on mini dvd. No, I'm not planning to do a fan film, but I really hate to subject people to bad vacation/family videos, I shoot lots of footage, but after editing, I might show about 1/10 of it, say 6 mins of every hour that I shoot, I'm that way when I put together my photo albums too. Most of what I shoot is for me and would bore everybody else to tears and yawns. Of course this post might have you all yawning by now:)

Excellent, they take after thier Grandmother, I see.
Well, tonight I finally got the new toy to shoot a bit of footage and then play it back as well, it's finally making some sense to me. I have also made some computer progress, I have this photo software that came on the computer, but was never able to figure it out, not even the simplest stuff, but this week, I was determined to figure it out and finally I got it to do some really neat stuff. I'm editing a disc of pictures I took of the bass player in Paul Rodgers' band the last time I saw them, so that's what started it, that and the one picture I took of him, which by mostly luck (and taking a mess of pics of him), is a really different concert shot, anyway I emailed him, and so that's what started the "I'll get this if it kills me......" Eventually I figure out how to do an online photo thing

;D Sounds good all. While I'm at home I've been able to cut way down on pain meds which I'm really grateful for. About 12 hours apart now . Of course for outpatient therapy---a bit of a diff story.
