I wonder if this person realizes that there actually is an organized Jedi religion. (www.jediism.org). Seems to me she is stepping on their toes over there.

Em, you misunderstood the ruckus at the RL board. No, I understood their feelings perfectly and I realize what she did was very strange. But it was not harmful. I could see if she was beligerent and hateful. Maybe because I'm older and more mellow, I didn't see it as infringment. All they had to do was delete it. It just seems that they follow so religiously, the Star Wars theme, spending thousands of dollars on it and all of their free time, then when someone comes along thinking that they are excited about it, they act like she just tarred and feathered Yoda. I just read over there that there wasn't even a rule as to doing that. She was banned and then the rule was added. I think they felt like their "club" was being invaded. I STILL don't know what all of the hoopla was about. God forbid a troll should ever pass through their doors. And another thing..they better take a long look at themselves. The way jeditanja saw us is the way the rest of the world see all Star Wars fans......or any fans for that matter that dresses up as their favorite stars and talks on messageboards.

Well made point. I think people acted too rashly with using disernemnt of spirit. I hope it didn't drive her off. maybe someone can find her again and invite her over here, if anything for discussion. How's that sound?

The Jedi Teachings site has been shut down.... I guess a bounty hunter claimed their bounty? I have copies of what was posted there, if anybody is interested.

FROM MY UNDERSTANDING, JEDISM IS ACTUALLY BASED ON THE SHAO LIN MONKS,I THINK, DONT HOLD ME TO THAT, WILL HAVE TO GATHER UP PASSED INFO AND SEE IF I AM RIGHT ON THIS, BUT JUST MY UNDERSTANDING, AND AS RELIGONS GO, SHO LIN MONKS HAVE BEEN DOING THEIR THING WAY LONGER THAN MOST RELIOGIONS WE KNOW TODAY, FURTHER MORE AND CONCOUR WE'RE NOT PRACTICING A RELION HERE BUT COSTUMING , RIGHT... LOLWHEN GOVERNMENT AND RELIGION ARE BROUGHT INTO FUN THINGS, THOSE THINGS TEND NOT BE FUN ANYMORE,SO HAVE HAVE BEEN MY EXPERIENCES IN LIFE........ TRUST ME............ true....we are only costumers....
but I think it adds a little to our "character" to know that some of the concept is practiced in today's world...

The Jedi Teachings site was shut-down because it was too close to what was on the jediism.org website. Soon after I received my WinZip file of the Jedi Teachings, and had saved everything that I could off of the website, it was suddenly closed-down. Since Jediism is a legitimate religion and organisation, they could've cried that some legalities were breached, and rightfully ordered the website shut-down. I still have all 300+ pages of the Jedi Teachings, and they aren't just a bunch of junk. They are derived from the Jedi Code, and can give you an idea into how to interpret the Jedi Code and the Force to apply it to your daily life. But, it is still a point of view, somebody's opinion, and should be taken with a grain of salt, as I did. I found the first few "chapters" informative, but the last few "chapters" got a bit odd. However, I did get something out of the Jedi Teachings on how to behave like a Jedi Knight should, and how to "live" a Jedi lifestyle. It did get me thinking about how to be a better person, though. As far as belonging on a costuming website: No Way!! The Jedi Teachings are philosophy, and how they relate to costuming is how to act in character when one is in their Jedi Tunics, and acting as a Jedi Knight or Master. Mundanes have an idea of what a Jedi Knight is, and how one should behave. The Jedi Teachings may give you some insight into how to act properly in pubilc, so that you don't look dumb in the general public's eye wherever you may be acting as a Jedi Knight or Master.
