I have been searching high and low for (women's) boots that would fit my rather muscular calf (who knew dancing would cause such a problem?)... anyway, with a 15" calf, typical boots (which are usually 11") will not fit. How depressing. There are boots everywhere this season, but none of them fit! But, I found this online, and ordered a pair in the brown leather. They have a 17" calf measurement, so I'm hoping that will not be too sloppy. I'm not that crazy about the squared toe, either, but we'll see when I get them. $60 incl. shipping. www.onestopplus.com/plus-size-Plus-Calf-Boots.aspx?DeptId=15777~hendel

Those look very nice, Granny-Wan! If I hadn't already purchased the others, the ones you are thinking about would have definitely caught my eye. They look very comfortable, as well. :-) I am a little concerned about the heel, which is 1-3/4"... I would have preferred 1"-ish...
I'll let you know what I think about them when I get them, probably around the 24th of this month.

Woohoo! The Temple Procurement Department has looked upon me favorably!
My boots arrived this morning, and I love them! The size is true, and it zips up with no problems at all! My only issue was the brown color, which was a little gray-ish, but nothing a little brown shoe polish can't tweak. The heel is perfect and the toe is a subtle square, so it is great.
The leather is a different type of leather, I'm guessing. It kinda smells like leather, but I doubt that it is cow leather. No biggie to me - I was also considering man-made leather boots anyway.
Now to wear them around to break them in... we're going for the 'lived in' look, you know!
The Force is with me today! ~hendel :-)

Hey! I got boots at Payless today! They're just perfect for my style and height (or lack thereof). They're the ones that were mentioned here. Thanks to whoever made the suggestion (and to Hendel for insisting that I buy them!).

I ordered these on the 13th and finally got them today, they look great and feel fantastic. I got X-wide instead of just WIDE knowing that my feet swell... LOL I had a pair similar to the ones in the picture on the first post here, but I don't like heels... I'm not used to wearing any heel at all and my toes hate being pinched.... I'm a big fat baby when it comes to pain... ;D I checked out the one mentioned from Payless, and I liked the price, but I could either get wide width or wide calf and I need both!

I ordered a pair of brown suede & leather boots this weekend from Roaman's, they're having a sale. The style is called "Ryder" they have a low heel and a strap and buckle thing at the top, after my discounts and the sale price, they came to $32.49, here's hoping they fit, got wide calf & ww foot. I ordered some chocolate brown leggings as well. It all should arrive next week, or maybe later this week. Update: They arrived, and fit pretty well, I'll be adding some serious insoles w/arch support, and having rubber heel taps added, and might get them streched a little here & there, might see if the shoe guy can dye the leather parts a darker brown, as those parts are a little taupe-ish for my taste.

I forgot to come back here and comment after I actually wore these for five hours.... www.silhouettes.com/product.asp?product=402339M10BAzz&dept%5Fid=10300&An=102&A=&Au=RollupKeyThey are comfortable, big enough for my 17" calves with my twill pants tucked in... if I have help zipping them up.... LOL... but that makes them tight enough to stay up while walking around... I wore them for five hours without foot pain... they are roomy, I even had room for my arch support inserts... well worth the money... but be warned they are SLOW to receive, ships by parcel post...
