I just used some new inserts for the first time, and they're fantastic! My heels used to hurt after being in my boots all day. Walking didn't bother me, but just standing around really hurt after a while. I used to use Dr Scholl's gel inserts but they didn't really relieve the pain. Yesterday I tried Dr. Scholl's Heel Pain Relief Orthotics. They're made specifically for heel pain. These things are great! They work by supporting the arch, and taking pressure off the heel. I used them at a parade for Labor Day. After we were all in costume, we had to stand around for a couple hours and wait. My feet didn't hurt at all.

Supporting the arch is the best way to fight heel pain. I have custom orthotics for planta fasciitis (sp?) that almost crippled me and I haven't had any trouble since I got those inserts... especially for standing around, you really have to support that arch...
