Thanks, Master Jorlac! Just for curiosity, I measured them and they're 16 inches from sole to top (not including the heel which is 1 1/2 inches). I wish they were 17 inches or even better, 18, but most of the ones I have seen this year are 15 inches or shorter. I like them, for my taste (and for a girl's costume), but they're not as cool as yours or Koda's. (But they're black and I keep being pulled by the dark side... ) Anyway, so much for my two credits' worth on boot length...

i got my boots at www.911costumes.cokm size 14, 19 inches high just half inch or so off my knees, and fit a whopping 22 1/2 calves such as mine are. with room to spare for pant tuck, they also have a boot same lengths and sizes, but with a fold down peice, looks like a pirate type mace windu type boots, have good soles on them and were around my budget at the time and ran me $ 56.00 - $57.00 with shipping. go look at them see if you like what they have, try them out, that way you're not out 3- 400.00 dollars if they aren't what you wanted. anyways my 2 cents. hope it helped you some. mine are also black. and as for your tunic set, awesome, and once mine are mad they should be 52"inches from shoulder to just above the knee, with the tabbards to be 4 inches longer both front and back, with jedi lettering embrodered on a leath strip. but that's another topic of discussion.

It seems to me that most of the "canon" styles are much taller than mid-calf. If you look in the photos, most of the main characters' boots seem to come to about 3 or 4 fingers' width below the kneecap. I'm guessing that "mid-calf" is a gracious accommodation for those of us who need to buy ready-made rather than custom-made. Yup, you got it!

i think i'm just going to go for the agen kolar look, it matches my style, and for boots, i think i'll get a nice pair of wellington styling.
