boots with o-ring on the side

not sure where they were getting them but this past month my school did fiddler on the roof. every guy was required to have boots and quite a few had these awesome looking boots with o-rings on the sides with straps going around the top, bottom and heel of the foot. kinda like a "Y" shape. Just a heads up that these boots ARE featured in the Star Wars comics on the feet of Quinlan Vos. The ones I've seen were a little short so spats may be required but just wanted to offer a heads up incase anyone was wondering.

the reviews don't look too good but none of my friends have complained, and they're still wearing them since february so apparently buy at your own discression. (I serously doubt any of them spent 100 bucks so DO look elsewhere)

I've seen boots like that called harness boots. They look nice, but they're too short and would need some kind of extension on top.
