I got these at Renn Faire here in SoCal but they're kinda pricey - they are so comfy tho - I can wear these all day!

To me, a laced boot says ren faire, pirate, etc... It doesn't look like what I would picture a Jedi boot to look like.
If anyone can find a picture of a screen or EU Jedi with a laced boot, please post it!!

I know I have seen a picture of a Jedi that has laces on his boots but I'll be darned if I can find it. The picture in the Visual Dictionairy does show that Ki Adi Mundi's boots are cuffed have more of a mocossin look in my opinion.

There are many types of lace up boots. Most historical riding boots are tall with a Jedi look but have a small set of laces in the front that do not go all the way up. The historical riding boots do not look Pirate or Ren Faire but very Jedi.......including the same color used in Obi-Wans boots and others. There are some lace boots though that look very mocassin like or more medieval. The subject should be more of a case by case basis for each type of boot.......in Jedi Outcast there was a Jedi in the ad wearing a historical type riding boot with buckles on the side.........these have a small amount of shoe lace in front. The medieval style boots have thick leather lace rather than matching color smaller shoe laces and usually the lace goes all the way up the boot. Some WWII jump boots also have laces that go all the way up, they look more Jedi as well though due to the leather and boot finish. Spats though will help cover any part of the boot that is less than desireable. Remember it is much more difficult for men to find boots than it is for women and usually much more expensive.

The only boots I have that fit right now that go to just below my knees are my lace-up moccasin boots...

I have a pair of those too, that I wear with my renny sorta outfit... long skirt, poofy blouse and corset thing... I'd be laughed out of an SCA event but I'm not going to one any time soon soon, so what the hey...
If anyone has a question about a certain style boot, send a pic, that's all I can say. there are many different styles of lace-ups.
