hi..i'm a bit new to this does any one have a tutorial or parttern for turning an old pair of ankle boot into the right lenght for a jedi costume any help would be appriciated

You're looking for a pattern for making spats, I think. Unfortunately, I don't know how to make those. For boots, I look on ebay; it's risky for getting a good fit, buying shoes online. But if you wait, something your size, and priced low enough, eventually comes by.

Definately check eBay. I bought a pair a little over a year ago for $5 to go with something 21st century and they are perfect for Jedi.
