i was just wondering, the assembly FAQsays you dont have to have robes but you do have to have a belt, boots, and a saber
i guess the question is coming from my wookiee project, and i dont think that even a jedi wookiee would wear boots, id still have a belt though and the saber and their would be wookiee feet, what do you guys think?

That's a difficult question that only the council can work out. As long as you're on the light side, you're OK, but I don't know about non-human Jedi that don't wear shoes.

I think a lot depends on the species. Lowie doesn't have boots. (Nor Chewie either). But the Council shall discuss I am sure.

the real question here is, "can the jedi council force a wookie to do anything?
or " if a wookie who loses pulls people's arms out of their sockets...what horrible things will a wookie with athlete's foot do? "
you could find some real or imitation snakeskin and call them transhodan skin boots.
i'm not on the council, but i say listen to the living force....no boots for the wook.
TND.

good point, TND, not only a wookiee but a JEDI wookiee
it doesnt seem practical to me anyway, ill be wearing stilts boots would be just another hazard, i think ill not do them and just submit when i am done, and go along with the judgemt of the council, they are far more wise than I

II think the Council has come to the conclusion that as longa s you have hairy feet, then you do not need boots

So how would we feel about sandals?

I don't remember seeing any hair on Yoda's feet. But the claws on his toes would make any shoes impractical.

I'd have to agree with ani-chay on this one. In my opinion, if your character is not human-like in appearance then boots should not be required (i.e. calimarians, wookies, yoda, or yaddle).
Let's have the council confirm this.

I think we'd find this a case by case basis thing, depends on the feet.

Sounds about right to me. If you have Yoda or wookie feet, you don't need boots. If you're human or humanoid, sandals won't work.
