I bought a pair of the Outworld Boots you can get from United Cutlery from a supplier that was not united Cutlery. This other supplier is VERY reputable, VERY trustworthy, and VERY nice and I have purchased and returned things from them before.
So, they ship out my boots via Fed Ex on the 12th. I get an e-mail from Fed Ex with the tracking # saying they are scheduled to arrive on Saturday the 15th. I am surprised that they delivery on Saturdays, since I did not pay extra for a fast delivery. It snows late Friday night ending around 4 AM and I go out the garage door in the front of the house Saturday morning around 8 to take the dog out. No tracks in the snow, no package. I go back out at noon to clean off the cars and shovel the drive and the walk. Again, no tracks in the snow of the yard, the driveway, or the walk up to my porch. I shovel it all away.
Now its Monday. I check on-line (my PC at home was on the fritz) and Fed Ex is tracking my shipment as delivered (left on porch no signature required) on Saturday at 10:35 AM. I am peeved.
I call Fed Ex and they say they'll call me back on Tuesday since my local Ground Terminal was closed for MLK day. They don't call me, so around 10 AM I call them back today and they say it was delivered. I say it wasn't. They say they'll have the actual carrier go out to the address he delivered it to and confirm it was the correct location and that they'd call me back. This conversation happened at around 10 AM today. It's now 2:30 PM and no word.
The supplier of the boots was contacted and the certainly did their job, and If the boots don't show up, the supplier will have to file a claim with Fed Ex witch could take 4-12 weeks to close, and Fed Ex might deny the claim since THEY say it WAS delivered, the supplier shipped it out their doors correctly and it's just my word that I don't have the darned things! There I am! Maybe out $150 plus shipping fees! I practically have to beg my wife every time I buy something for my hobbies that's over $20! This stinks!
Sorry... just wanted to rant...
