Personally, I stole my boots. Well, nearly. I found a great pair of riding boots at a local outdoor "flea" market. I only paid $20 for them...and they were brand new, not even broken in. The fellow who had bought them originally got them for a job at a horse farm...which the job fell through. By the time he got his boots (delivered from the maker in England), he had lost the job. Either he didn't pay for them (ie. his employer provided them) or he really needed cash...the boots cost over $275 originally. Anyhow, they're now mine, and have been colored a nice English Tan. I've had these boots for 10 years now, and they are simply great. My dream boots (a type of polo boots), however are out of reach... These could be mine for a mere $915... ::sigh:: I'll have to settle for what I've got...one day I'll customize a pair of riding boots to look like these... --Kai

Very Qui Gon Jinn ish, I think! But alittle pricey, even by my standards, and my favourite boots are my catskill mocs. Wonder if I could get them to do a closure like that, instead of the usual button and lacing. even tho they are black, I will probably wear the with my next Jedi set, because they are taller than my brown boots, but I'm keeping an eye out for a taller brown boot, or I'll break down and order a pair from thailand, I just hate tall boots.

Hey Kai I like the boots Have you been to motercycle cowboy yet they have some similar but are buckels. Also I saw these great boots in a horse catalog they are made by Ariat. the ones I saw are suede on the to and leather on the bottom. On the top they have two straps almost just like the ones on the boot you have posted. They were black in the catalog. I'll look fo the web site and post it. I found replica boots of qui gon Jin and I really loved them. I think that is what I'll get but the ariat were cool to. very versitile and I can use them when I ride to. LOL but I love the other boots as well.

Yes, I've been to Motorcycle Cowboy's site. Great looking boots. I'm fairly satisfied with my current boots, but am always looking to upgrade.
I'm planning to include a pair of leather greaves (shin armor) with a knee cop (a dished piece of armor to cover the knee) in my ensemble. I've done one pair of bracers (which many of you may have already seen) but want to do all new leather accessories for my Jedi garb sometime in the next year. This will consist of: belt, pouches, bracers, greaves, body armor (still working on the particular style) and a shoulder bag to hold my "archeological gear" and other gadgetry.
If I do the greaves, I plan for them to be adjustable, so I can wear them with different boots, like brown moccosins and my riding boots.
