Emerita! Test those boots from Thailand! My roommie at Celeb II got her's from there (probably the same place) and was not happy with them. And they cost a lot! So try them out. If you don't like them, don't settle for them.

I will, The maker has given me the option to send them back for a refund, which I think I'll do..............

I can only hope that I'll get my boots right. Its pretty hard to make boots apparently. But I have another pair I need to sew for the SCA. Quarter inch thick Elk hide boots. I could just wear those. There big enough to be bantha hide! I mean they won't look as good as the black sheen leather ones but I'm having a serious problem trying to find the leather. I found it once but it was so expensive I coulda bought the boots for what they wanted!

footwear seems to be a big issue.... I am feeling more and more thankful that I found the boots I did, and then have a leathermaker customize it....
thank you e-bay.... thank you "Wholly Cow"!

Thats cause footwear is hard to come by. At least that looks right. Your lucky Master Schph. But my mother in law is a leather worker so my "bantha hide" boots are free of charge! :: BIG BIG GRIN::

Truly, you should wear a big grin,if I hadn't bartered for them, my knee high Catskill Mocs would have cost about $1200. and he still got the better deal, the garb I made him would have been about $2000. They just won't do as Jedi boots though, something about the turquoise & lavender trim on them, I think, or maybe it's the beads.

So your a jedi who likes fancy footwear? Whats wrong with that. My overtunic is gonna have a scarlet hawk embroidered on it! And I'm using leather bracers that are red with gold edging to hold my sleeves from getting in my food!

My tunic is plain. I have been thinking about ways for spicing it up without looking gawdy.....I paid alot of money for my Jedi costume and it needs a little something to catch the eye.

Emerita-if you really want to spice it up my wife and I have a business doing custom clothing. I'm sure she could do some work without it looking gawdy. But thats up to you. And believe me we don't charge much. A whole outfit we figured out of linen and cotton (robes, over and under tunic, pants, and tabbard) is about $85. So if you'd like to check about send me a line. I have my email address on the members page.

Welcome dengar11.....Is that by any chance the same as the west coast leather factory? I guess I am just going to have to find a state side bootmaker that can alter my boots. My shoe repairman was afraid to touch them. I found a pair of Equestrian boots that are perfect, but I have to special order them too and it will take 12 weeks to get them in, but at least I'll be working with a local person and it won't cost me anything if they aren't made right. I guess I just have weird feet and legs. I need a pair to wear tomorrow and I am debating whether to go out today and look some more for a pair or just wear these. I haven't worn these out yet. Oh what to do *sigh*.....this is getting expensive.........well, at least it is worth it...LOL

They never got my boots right. I am very unhappy. There are others at the rebel legion that have had no problems at all with them...so I guess it must be me.....but they are great looking boots. I wish I had gotten the Obi boots. On the Adi Gallia boots there is a big poochy part on the back of the boot that makes your leg look deformed and makes the boot to loose......I guess I should keep on them and make them do it right.......but it cost $100.00 to send them to Thailand and I've already sent them back once.......
