I woke up puzzled this morning...
I realize that the Kaminoians cloned and trained the troops on Kamino...but where did all of the capital ships and troop transports come from? For as many ships as they had at the end of ep.2, there had to have been a large order made and produced somewhere for the clone troops. It all must have been done years in advance and without the knowledge of the Republic.
Thoughts?

I had just assumed it was part of the order placed with the Kaminoians and thus their problem to obtain...that would keep anything from getting back to the Republic about it.

Basically, if they were secretly building up a grand army anyway, I'm sure they'd also be building up a grand navy to go along w/ it, right? Otherwise, what's the point? Their "grand" army of the Republic would be stranded on-planet. Think Maw Installation. If the Empire could build an entire space station the size of a small moon w/out too many ppl. knowing of it, I'm sure they could amass enough ships and troop transports to support the grand army, yes? Perhaps...perhaps...has definite possibilities....

Wonder if they used Sluis Van, Kuat, where did they come from?

maybe it was a combination... the gunships, Sluis Van... and the star destroyers, Kuat.

I had just assumed it was part of the order placed with the Kaminoians and thus their problem to obtain...that would keep anything from getting back to the Republic about it. This seems to make the most since the paper trail would lead to Kamino instead of the jedi Temple. I assume that the Acclimators and Venators came from KDY since the larger one is listed as a star destroyer. Dunno.
