So I'm watching Ep I for the first time using the Interactive player- Some cool bits of trivia I noticed... When Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan jump down from the airshaft in the Trade Federation hanger bay (just after their stand-off with the destroyer droids)- there are battle droids washing a Trade Federation tank in the foreground. The canyon at the beginning of the podrace (in which Aurra Sing appears briefly)- is Beggars Canyon. This is what Luke is referring to in ANH during the Death Star Trench sequence. At one point, Anakin spins out of control during the space battle. Anakin (Darth Vader) spins out of control at the end of the Battle of Yavin. Coincidence? While Jar-Jar is trying to shake off the piece of battle droid attached to his foot during the Battle of Naboo, there are several "Rocky Balboa" fist fights between Gungans and battle droids going on in the background. After Yoda promotes Obi-Wan to Jedi Knight and they discuss Anakin's training, as Yoda says, "Grave danger I fear in his training"- you can hear the Imperial March (Darth Vader's theme) in the background. I never noticed this before and it was a really cool moment- I had always believed that the first time the Imperial March appeared in the prequels was at the end of Ep II. ;D

I never noticed a lot of those. I had heard about the battle droids washing the tank but every time I watch the movie I forget to look for those small details. I found an interesting article about the "Imperial March" that talks about ever time it is used in the movies the link is below. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_MarchAlso did you ever watch to the end of Ep I's credits to hear Vader's breathing at the very end?

Couple of others... When Maul's saber is cut in two, the other half that goes flying behind him causes a small explosion and electrical fire! I couldn't hear this myself, but apparently if you listen closely, when Obi-Wan leaps out of the reactor shaft- the bionic sound effect from The Six Million Dollar Man can be heard. For any younglings not familiar with this- the Six Million Dollar Man was a tv show in the mid 70's about an astronaut who, after a severe crash that nearly kills him, is given bionic (mechanical) limbs allowing him to preform incredible feats of strength. Kind of a cross between Jedi Force powers (Force run, Force Jump, Force strength), and Darth Vader's artificial limbs.

Not sure if this is an error or what but I was reading up on Naboo and its moons. It has three moons. I found out that only one (Tasia) is ever visible onscreen during the battle of Naboo. I watched it yesterday and it can be seen when all of the N-1 fighters take off and streak into space heading toward the Trade Federation battleship. All the fighters pass right by this large gray moon in the background.
Well, when Anakin blasts off and heads toward the battle, he takes virtually the same exact route to the battleship since he was on autopilot, only when they show Anakin's fighter, there is no moon in the background shot.
Also, when Obi is hanging on for dear life after Maul knocks him into the reactor shaft, Maul strikes the ground with his saber. If you slow it down frame by frame, you can see the explosions begin to occur just before he strikes the ground and it is a bit away from where he strikes the ground!!

And in Ep. I, Panaka says near the beginning that his security forces cannot go up against a "battle hardened" Trade Federation army. Who had the Trade Federation been at war with to make their droids "battle hardened?"
