I don't know anything about them, but you might want to send an email & ask what is the fibre content of their flannel and the weight as well, flannel comes in many fibres & weights, some are a bit flimsy, but you can't tell from a picture. Maybe they will send a small swatch if you ask. The pic looks ok, pretty good, but, what weight is the fabric, is it cotton, synthetic blend, or wool. The price isn't bad. Mine are a little more, but, I'll gaurantee that with normal wear & tear, they'll last at least 5 years,( more likely 10) I've got costume I've made that are older than alot of the members.

Greetings, All of our robes are made out of a heavyweight cotton flannel which drapes and flows nicely. The fabric is double-napped (meaning that it's soft on both sides) and breathes well (won't easily overheat you). Also the fabric is not as heavy as some wool I've seen, however if you have ever worn a super-heavy robe you know that there are some downsides to using heavy cloth. Our robes are easy to wear, and our clients love them. thats what he said it sounds good but im not a fabric expert by anymeens.

Heavy double napped cotton flannel is nice and should be reasonalbly durable. Does drape nice.

Actually, the robes in the films are made of very heavy wool (about the weight of army blankets) but heavy cotton flannel is a nice substitute, not as hot or heavy, and definitly cooler to wear.

I thought that the PT robes were made from surplus British Army blankets.
I made my robe from coat wool, Expensive, but is great for everyday ware.

my latest atempt at my jedi outer robe onluy cost me $7.00 made it from two full sized linen/wool blankets, it is cream colored, with the cuffs of the sleeves made from the silky end of the blankets that go up by your head, looks great, abit heavy for the summers here in kentucky, but i suspect it will be excellent in the kentucky winters. i made it abit larger than the pattern called for, since i am a big fella myself, this robe is my second attempt as i said, i used invisible thread to seam it together, all well everyone that has seen it said it looks kool! when i get a chance i'll try to get a pic of it to the threads, but i might wait until i get the rest of tunic garb together befiore i send in my pix both to show you guys and gals, but to also have posted as my membership pic, later jedis

Making robes from old blankets is a great idea... just gotta have enough blankets! Every time I find a nice fabric that I'd love to make a robe with it's just too darn expensive. I've made 2 robes , and I'm still making mistakes. I hate to pay all that $ and not have it come out right. Been there, done that!

No problem, we'll have it done before EpIII. We just need to figure out a good time after Halloween. Then we can work on it.
