Council Members, I found this petition from another club site that is set up to petition to save Master Replicas to get the license from Lucas. I wasn't sure if TJA wants to add our names to the petition but here is the link so that the council can check it out. www.akaimpc.com/savemr.htmlthe 2nd pages asks for monetary donations which can be skipped or ignored completely. I myself have signed & submitted it for myself.

I myself have mixed emotions about it. Good competition usually results in improved offerings for the consumer, and hopefully we will see some improvements in what is offered.
Of course, there's also a chance that no one gets the license and starts producing for a while, which would definitely be bad for fans.
I'll look it over, at-least. Then decide which direction I want to go. Thanks for the post!

Honestly, after the way the treated us at their party, I'm glad they are not having their liscense renewed ! It's been 5 weeks and they still have not sent us the gift certificate they promised us due to the fisaco at the FX Challenge

From what I've read, all the lawyers have done their haggling and there's no agreement to be reached...
Like Darcu, I'm curious if a change will bring improvements or not...
I did buy a MR just in case there's NO ONE making them for awhile... good excuse, huh?

The only reason I like MR is the affordablity. They're not very screen accurate. Some of the smaller saber companies produce high quality stuff.brighter more durable sabers.I like to have my MR's upgraded. they're also working on a better sound board.I think Lucas licensing won't let this go on for long.there is too much of an intrest to let it slip away, and too much money to be made. You're going to pay alot more for a custom job though on the smaller saber shops though, but better made.

I agree, I really only enjoy the force fx sabers and I'm sure another company can build on what they have done and improve. While we may be without these for a while I really felt MR was beginning to repaet things they have already released.
And the stuff I heard from C4 about the 'trilas' really speaking as a Fight Coordinator and just plain fan was unprofessional.
However everyone is free to have their thoughts about it and sign if they wish.

From what I heard, They elected not to renew thier liscence, although I admit it's second hand information. They sold their company to another, who decided not to renew.
Such is business.

Any individual may add their name, but it's not TJA endorsed at this point.

I think there was a news bulletin on the MR site about Corgi (the company that bought them) said they were not willing to agree to the limits Lucasfilm set or some nonsense like that.

Right. And I say--- "too bad, so sad". That was they business deal that MR went with, and they will profit either way. Another comany can do just as well. I'm anxious to see who will pick up the liscence, and what lind of product they will produce!
