Are gray pants and tunic allowed? I'm just trying to find a way to not use brown.

Lighter shades of grey are usually acceptable, but usually require a photo to the council to see if it reads Jedi. What's wrong with tan & brown?

Eh, just don't really like the colour. as well as it looking really weird on me because I'm so pale. (I can't deal with heat well....got second degree burns from sunlight once.) I just, don't wear brown. I don't wear much other than black, and I suppose I can settle on gray. So, if I ever get the money and such to do this, I'll be posting a picture. It may be a while. Thanks!

I'm extremely pale as well and always avoid browns in mundane clothes. A good way to avoid straight brown is to wear Obi-Wan off-white colors. Or go for brown-ish colors. There is a whole range of "warm" gray colors that would likely work fine. These colors would be mostly gray with a brown or tan undertone. Mace Windu's tunic in TPM is a good example of that.

yeah, Obi Wan's. That's pretty much what I was going for. I'm a REALLY big Obi-Wan fan anyway.

An all gray costume won't be acceptable. Mace's tunic looks on the gray side, but it's one of those shades of khaki that can look like another color. It isn't gray. Like Butler Swan's costume can look a shade on the green side, but it's in the tan/khaki family. You also have to take lighting into consideration. I have seen a RP card of Mace Windu where his tunic looks dark gray, but it's just the photo.
Ani's suggestion is a good one............. look for the tans and browns that have closely resemble other colors, but aren't.

Alright howsabout this colour...A grey colour like that of burnt charcoal brickettes...basically a really really dark dark white or lite lite grey...technically this is an earth-tone which is allowed...as mentioned in the Code on the main website...I'm not trying to get away with a little darkness...I'm just trying to mix it up a little

It sounds like different shades of grey. ;D
Why not try to look in the Khaki section for different colored material. You may be surprised at what you find.

I am glad this subject has been brought up. As I prepare to make my outfit, I want to make sure it will be accepted. I shooting for look similar to Cin Dralig from the "Star Wars III" video game. Cream or off-white inner tunic, light to medium gray outer tunic and tabbards, cream or off-white obi and pants, brown belt, boots, and robe. I hoping this is acceptable?
