The Tale of Xorren Hedrasii
Xorren Hedrasii was born on Roon, around 50 years BBY. His original name was Vall Rasolf, son of Jek and Mela, who were artisans. During that time there were ongoing boarder disputes and Jedi Master Roron Corobb was on planet to help ease things along. He was housed in the Rasolf’s dwelling, and assisted, when Mela gave birth. Immediately detecting Force sensitivity in the child, Master Corobb requested that the child accompany him back to Coruscant. Abhorred with the wars, the Rasolfs agreed, and gave up their child. Soon after Vall Rasolf was admitted to the Jedi Temple and his name was changed.
Fourteen years later, young Xorren was excelling in his training and was selected by Master Ryduc to be her apprentice. She trained Xorren to knighthood, but unfortunately died of old age shortly after. Xorren rejoiced in her joining the force but did miss her. Notwithstanding, he soon moved on, practicing as a Knight, and completing many missions.
Xorren was once asked by Yoda to describe himself, to which Hedrasii replied, “I am Xorren Hedrasii, a Jedi, nothing more, nothing less.” Others would describe him much differently. Possibly inheriting his parent’s disdain of war, Xorren tried as best he could to master “Form Zero”. However, that is near impossible for one who was noted to be a “quick draw” with his green-bladed lightsaber. His true talent was in a Makashi & Juyo combination, using the Makashi style’s single handed grace paired with Juyo’s two handed power sweeps. Xorren also had a penchant for using the Jedi’s famous mind trick, often, very often.
Later in life, Xorren returned to the Temple to complete his Master’s trials, and to choose his first Padawan. He chose Illek Dareal, a young human with great promise. Their first mission involved an encounter with a Sith Lord. That was just a taste of what was to come, and the Hedrasii-Dareal team came to be known as a “strangeness magnet”. Illek soon graduated into knighthood, and because of the Clone Wars, Xorren never took another Padawan. He was pressed into active service and was on Ord Mantell when the infamous Order 66 was issued. Luckily, his Clone Commander compatriot was a bit dim, and Hedrasii overheard the explanation of the orders, then escaped.
After escaping to Dantooine, Xorren helped the Rebel Alliance set up their stronghold, and went into general retirement. He practiced his Force skills and swordsmanship a bit, just to keep them from completely fading. Soon after the Battle of Yavin, Xorren became one with the Force, living just long enough to see balance restored to the Force.
