As Syn-Kai prepared to fire at Garris's ship the crew aboard decided that they didn't want to be targets in a laser gallery anymore. A flash of light and a scream from his padawan pulled Syn-Kai's attention
Lyt-Jio slumped over in his seat and Syn-Kai reached out to feel his padawan's life force.....stunned and weak, but still there.
Anger started to swell, but Syn-Kai knew, as all Jedi do, that anger just is a waste of energy and prevents one from the more important issue at hand. The docking arm between the two ships was slowly retracting back into Garris' ship. Syn-Kai's anger dissapated like the heat waves on Tatooine and he grabbed the controls of his ship.
"Now to show these guys what flying is all about". Syn-Kai pulled on the control stick of the Star Seeker and barrel rolled to the left, punching the thrusters at the same time. The ship shuddered but instantly went about the maneuvers that the Jedi started to execute far to rapidly for the smuggler crews to track. Coming around for a last pass, Syn-Kai set the ship on it's side, moved all shield protection to the bottom hull and made a mad dash for the ever shrinking docking arm. The best thing to do at this point to avoid blowing Garris' ship, the flordian AND the "Wrong Turn" out of the sky was to take a piece of the docking arm off.
Using the Force, Syn-Kai's pass between the ships was close enough to tear the docking arm straight off and launched the fragments into space.
Flipping back around, the Jedi got the result he was after. Artificial atmosphere began venting out of the hole where the docking arm used to be. Crews were now too busy sealing off that compartment to do anything serious about the dogfight. A breached hull meant that there would be no hyperspace jumps for Garris's ship until more extensive repairs could be made. Syn-Kai's next laser blasts target the communications dish.
Han Solo stood by a side viewport and watched the remains of the docking bay splatter out. He vowed to himself that Jedi or no Jedi, he would train himself to be the best freighter pilot in the galaxy....and that there was more than one way to skin a bantha.
