I like the way it showed Obi-Wan really getting down on himself in the beginning of his time on Tatooine. Grieving over his failure, and Anakin, etc...
Showing that he's a jedi, and he's human too.

Yea me too. But after he left it seemed to ruin the series for a while. I mean all of Jude's books up to ths point featured Obi (JA, JQ) and it just seemed wrong not to have him around.
I agree though that it is picking up now after 5&6

I think you're right... it seemed strange not having Obi in the story.

I thought three was kindo f slow and I didn't read 4&5 until last week because of it, but it definitely picks up. 4 ended really good

Same here.
I think I liked 1 the best, because you suddenly realise that Ferus survived because of what seemed like an unfortunate incident... him leaving the order.

Yea me too. #1 was the best. It had the most Obi, it showed the most humanity and it showed that Ferus is still around and is still connected to the Force.

Oh brother, I didn't realize the time. I had to order stuff for my mom on line. I love the Last of the Jedi books. Book 1 hit me real hard the 1st time. I felt so sorry for Obi-Wan, he came across as being very human, though he was Jedi, he felt so deeply the shock of everything that happened.

I really liked 1 & 2 the best. It was cool how Obi-wan was kinds down on himself, but I can see how he was...I mean his best friend and former Padawan killed Jedi and turned to a sith...and the Obi-wan had to kill fim (or so he thought!). I'd be depressed too I had a feeling the Ferus would pop up in this series. He is so different then he was in the JQ series...not so uptight! I liked how they established the secret base on the astroid. I think this will all help tie in nicely with the rebellion... Off topic...I really liked the last book that was just written in the series. I was a bit let down with the 3-5, so the last one was a real treat!!!

I really like this series. It has it's ups & downs, twists & turns & not quite sure what's going to happen next. I'm happy with the asteroid to, just wondering what will happen to in the last book or will it be kept as a mystery place. Ferrus does a lot of growing up in this series & yet finds his Jedi roots at the same time. My brain has been on other stuff lately so I haven't been as with it as I should be.

Yep. It looks like Ferrus learned a lot from Siri. Of course he was very close to the trials, I think, when he left. He keeps recalling his lessons that he learned from her.
Another part I felt was Obi-Wan, he was made so very human, even with all his Jedi training it felt like he got torn apart emotionally & took so long to come back. Of course it proves that no matter how devastating things around you can become there is always hope & healing that can be found, given time.
I also liked the description of Illum & what Jedi padawans had to go through to get their crystals for their sabers.

Yeah..she did a great job of showing how this took a toll on Obi-wan. He was really devistated and shaken up. The book showed him finding focus again...which was great!
