Overall this is one of my favorite SW books of all time. I love Kit (my second favorite Jedi next to you-know-who, so having them both in this book is a big plus!) and I think his character was hit head on also. I also like the way Barnes humanized the Clones with Jangotat. You don't look at them like expendable media in this book -- they are human. I always wondered about Jangotat's baby though... you know how it is when you make a copy of a copy... maybe flawed in some way?

I wrote this quote down while I was reading:
"The joy in life comes not from surpassing another's gifts, but in fully manifesting your own."
Obi-Wan Kenobi

I do that too, make note of Jedi words of wisdom. We used to have a post full of them somewhere on this site, but I think that was before

I have a word doc that I keep all the good quotes in that I come across.
Jedi wisdom! Not enough room on my fridge for all of it!

I'd have to say that Cestus is up there as my favorite, along with I jedi. It's a very human story... the clones, the relationship between Nate and Sheeka, and the nature of the deception.

Also the nature of the Desert Wind, and what drives rebellions and outcasts...
And prejudices...
And it also has alot to do with the cycles of civilizations...
