Hi
I have a question for the costuming gurus out there, but it doesn't have to do with my Jedi so I'm posting it here.
I bought a yellow scarf yesterday, but I am trying to make it white for Karm's "Sky Captain" costume. I soaked it overnight in bleach water, but it is just brighter yellow. The color was yellow, not just yellow with age.
What would be the best way to make a yellow scarf white? Is there a white dye? (According to Ritdye.com, there is not)
Any help would be appreciated.

Depends on what the fabric content is, you need a dye remover, but it might not work if the fabric is a snythetic. Chlorine bleach may rot the fibre and frequently turns thins yellow. Try checking Martha Stewart.com for tips as well. She's got the best advisers.

I tried color remover, but it didn't work. Must be synthetic. Oh well. I found a remnant at Wal-Mart that will work pretty well.
