I know they are coming out with a novel tie-in to Republic Commando. And they have a tie-in to Galaxies which I just read so I thought I'd start a thread.
Star Wars: Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine was decent. It mainly dealt with 2 unknown characters (up to this point) which to me was a good thing. However, they kept meeting up with characters we all know: Lando, Han, Luke, Leia and even 3PO. That got a little distracting just in the sheer number of them they met. I think the novel would have been just as good or maybe better without all the "known" characters. It takes place shortly after A New Hope. An Imperial bioengineer meets up with a Rebel spy to find a lost holocron detailing Rebel agents that the Empire is also after. Having a bioengineer really caught my interest as there is a whole new slew of creatures in the SW universe to examine.

The thing is that in Star Wars Galaxies, you CAN go around and meet all those people. Leia, Wedge, C3PO and R2D2 can all be found in the Rebel base on Corellia (unless they moved them since I last played a couple months ago), Han and Chewie are on Lok, The Emperor is on Naboo, Boss Nass is on Naboo. And I am not sure why a holocron would be detailing Rebels since holocrons were ancient tools of the Jedi, but if thats what the book says...
