I noticed that no one's started a thread on the Young Jedi Knights series yet, so allow me. I've read the original six which were my personal favorites, as well at two from the following saga of the Knights. After the original six I felt the author kind of slowed down and I hate to say it but I think I've lost my interest in continuing on in the series. Have you read any? What is your take on the stories?

There were three story lines (I think). The Dark Jedi school, Than a racial thing, Last a revenge plus drug thing. It has only been two or three years sense I read them. I liked them. I plan to read them again, in a year or two. I am reading my books in order and am only to Han Solo's Paradise Snare. But I don't plan to skip these. Funny I have never read the OT books but will when I get to them. I have also never read VP and don't know if I can.

I have read these books and I think that they are awesome. I really enjoyed them. My favorite character from them is Jaina Solo. I've heard that some people think that she's too perfect but that's not true, considering some of her journey's through the Darkside in the New Jedi Order Series.

Siri I coudn't agree more. Jaina was such an awesome character, although I've not read all the books, I have the NEW ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO CHARACTERS book and know what trials she goes through and she's really actually a deep person. Hey do you remember LIGHTSABERS? Did you do what I did when Tenel Ka all of a sudden laughs at one of Jacen's jokes? I just cracked up, I've never laughed like that because of a book! That was great!

I got Jedi Under Siege from my girlfriend's brother, and I've been looking to acquire the series myself. I do have to say, though, that the cover for Darkest Knight threw me for a loop: from a distance, the Wookie looked like some sort of villain in dark armor with a skull mask . . . but then I saw the cover, and WOW, a Wookie with a red lightsaber lol I know, that SHOULD be terrifying

When i was at Dragon Con in the Matters of the Force track room they were selling raffle tix to benfits Starlight Foundation (I think) anyway I bought a few, and I won 2 prizes, a lightsabre hilt (a guy made several & donated them) and a PB of Young Jedi Knights Jedi Shadow, which has the novels Hiers to the Force, Shadow Academy & The Lost Ones, autographed by the authors, I started reading it yesterday, so far I'm enjoying it, not that I have much time to read right now. More later, after I finish them.

Jedi Shadow was the first time I read any of the YJK books. I found I really enjoyed them and got Jedi Sunrise as soon as it came out. I hope they decide to package the rest of the series in the same format.

Well, I finally finished the YJK book that I was reading, I quite liked it, though it was obviously aimed at a slightly younger reader than I. The characters were very well defined and pretty likeable, so, I might go look for another of these after Halloween, when I get my life back. I have a very major sewing project to do before then, the new mascot costume for the store, want to see what it looks like, check out www.nycostumes.com ans see Jumpy the Jester! At least I don't have to do the one with the head! I also have to dress the marionette version of him.
