I do have to agree with that it was confusing but very interesting at times. I have read it twice and am currently reading and just about done with Destinys way. I have read everything in between to. If you have questions feel free to post them or e-mail me. It gets really good!!! Hang in their. Verger or what ever drives me nuts!!

Vergere truly is a story unto herself.... I was kinda surprised when they introduced her character vaguely in Rogue Planet and spoke of the Vong ....also vaguely...way back in that book.
But Star by Star is tough reading right now...but I will continue...I have all the later books waiting for me when I finish Star by Star.

I think my favorite EU novel is probably Star by Star. The ending was really sad but it was really well writen. I also like the Hand of Thrawn Trilogy and the Spector of the Past and Vision of the Future duo.
Least favorite would have to be the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy...wasn't worth the paper it was written on.

wow......I guess that just proves that everyone's taste is sooooo different...
I am certainly not a writer...and really never read much until I started reading the Star Wars novels....but I thought just the opposite...
Where I kinda liked Star by Star...I thought that 200 pages could have been chopped out of it....I found myself skipping over a lot of pages.....kind of blah, blah, blah....I am glad I read it....to see how the plot developed...but I didn't like it that much.
I rather liked the "Black Fleet Crisis".....just goes to show you....
everyone is different!

Well...it will be a long time before I read that one...as I will wait till it is out in paperback form.
I am almost done with "Dark Journey" right now...and I gotta tell you....I am in agreement with the woman who led the panel discussion on EU at the Con I was just at....NJO is getting boring...I know that sounds crazy...but I gotta agree with her. I know I will read the whole series...but it is getting harder and harder for me to continue reading them.
And I still say...they could have cut out 200 pages or so from "Star by Star"....
but...like I said....everyone has their own likes and dislikes...thank goodness...otherwise the world would be pretty boring!

I do admit I skipped over a bit is Star by Star. I skiped over quite a bit in Dark journey and the next two or so I think Destinys way pulls more of it together. Less of Mara which is a bummer and thier are parts I skipped alot of the vong just blah blah stuff.

[glow=teal,2,300]My self i have read the Jedi academy series .(jedi search, dark apprentice, champions of the force) and liked it very much. am now finishing dark saber i did read children of the Jedi and it was good, just didnt like the fact that the author told us about Luke`s wounded leg to much. Talk about beating you to death with a point ! other than that it was a good book she had a strange writing style too. now i got another book by her that i have yet to read (Planet of Twilight) anyone know about that one? bought that & I Jedi and approaching storm. dark saber was good cause it followed the academy series and planet of twilight is about Callista as well. am kinda following her in books since Children of the Jedi. also read young Jedi (Lightsabers) but my favorites so far was Champions of the force & dark apprentice !! [/glow]

Planet of Twilight was rather ho-hum...in my humble opinion...
Make sure to put the X-Wing Series on your list of "must reads"!

Syn-Kai...is there a Borders bookstore near you? If so, around here they usually have just about all of the Star Wars novels...and if they don't...they will order them for you at no extra charge.
