No ray skin, J.
I just wrapped the leather right over the aluminum handle. The handle was milled down (flattened) on the sides so that after I overlapped the two twisted strips, the total thickness would make the handle approximately round. It came out pretty close.

Just got an update from the machinist. From right to left, here's the rough cut bandoleer buckle (bottom view), belly box, and closure assemblies for the bracers (bottom view). I'll probably do the bracers next week when I get these parts. Still have to do the final shaping and rounding corners and such, and put the greeblies on the belly box and bando-buckle. ~ Koda

Don't forget to grab the action figure they have out for him. I grabbed the Voolvif Monn one as soon as I saw it.

Thanks Nova! Master Zann sent me this the other day. It looks like a different concept version, but it may be a CG rendering. If the latter, it sheds new light on bracer, shoulder, and saber details. It also gives a better view of what may be the armor harness (the lighter brown vest-looking-thing between the tunic and the tabards/capes. Thoughts? Also looks like the saber-holster is on the back of the bandoleer, where in the cut-scene capture below, you can't see a holster. Dilemmas, dilemmas... I may put a hold on further construction 'til the graphic books come out. ~ Koda

Zooming in as close as I could I still can't see anything on it. With as physics intensive as they've made the game, there'd have to be something at least holding it along the bandoleer.

Weekend update: Version 2 of the belt... Love how the weathering came out! ;D ...and a rough bracer... I still have to smooth the edges, fill that small gap, line it with neoprene, sand-paint-n-weather it... oh and build the other one too. Wanted to show how the closure works. I'm quite proud of that design. ;D ~ Koda
