Yeah suppose I could try, his armor looks simple and the costume is pretty much just rags.
Yeah you might have to experiment a bit Koda, se what ya come up with but keep us posted especially about the saber

Amp, the box is 1/2 inch thick, with 1/4 in routed out (inside-corner radius of the route-out is aprox 0.063). External filet corner radius about 0.12 The black lines are slots about 0.05 wide give-or-take. The white squares are just flat plastic stoppers (I'm imagining from the concept art) and the grey squares are thumb sliders about 1/4 in thick and maybe contoured a bit for thumbs (like keyboard keys). The grey and white circles are push buttons (aprox 1/8 to 3/16 thick) and the black circle is a hole. I won't implement moving sliders, just glue them in place. ~ Vonnor Do you think the slots at .125 would be too big? That is typically the size bit that is on our router. How did you come about the inside routed portion corner radius?

Hmmm,I would still use that Tk chest piece, and the shoulder armor. Use something to build it up like polymer filler then recast it maybe a plaster paris if you could sand the insturment panels in the torso area that would be perfect for you control box.I woul hold the chest piece by straps hidden by the shoulder armor.Does he have a armored back piece as well?

No back plate. Just BP, shoulders, bracers and hand-guards. My best idea so far is to put loop-velcro on the back of the armor pieces, in a little ways from the edge so it's less likely to show. Then for the BP, I'd velcro straps to the top that go over my shoulders and down to the belt-line in back (like the ref photo) actually attaching those to the inside waistband of the pants (velcro again ftw). I would have similar straps attaching from about the middle of the underside of the shoulder bells, to the main straps as they go over my shoulders. The tabards in front would actually go over the shoulders and become the split-cape in back. I already figured out how to pleat the cape where it goes over the shoulders so it flares out nicely. The tabards would run from the belt line in front, and go under the chestplate and over top of the straps that run from the shoulder bells to the main straps (to hide them) and would follow the line of the main straps up and over the shoulders. I would put tie-straps at the shoulderblades to tie the two cape sections together loosely at that point. I'd also have brown elastic straps that would run through "button-holes" in the tunic (so they wouldn't show) and go around my upper arms (for the bells) and around my torso (for the BP). The local G-Street Fabrics carries both 2" wide cotton strapping and all kinds of elastic strapping, both in dark brown. Again, the construction won't start until the game is released, so I have lots of time to come up with a better plan.

Ok, I haven't been on in a while but I saw this and it really got my interest. I don't know how well a TK Breast Plate would work but the Shoulder Bells from a TK suit would be perfect I think. It looks like the same basic shape though maybe just a bit shorter, i.e. they don't go as far down the arm. Your ideas for anchoring everything sound really good too btw. Velcro ftw indeed.

I've seen some of the Bobas and jangos in the 501st use velcro to anchor the armour directly to the jumpsuit they were wearing. Now from the way this guy's armour looks you could use a brown sleevless leather vest, anchour the armour on it. It'd also cut on rubbing Each peice is removable for repairs. It's what I'd use, but then, I've a couple of parts I have to be mindful of armour bits pinching.

Yeah, the TK BP only comes down to the rib-line and has a separate belly piece. Master Kota's BP comes down to the bellybutton, just above the belt line. The TK shoulder bells are about the right size but I'd have to build up the surface a bit to get rid of the center ridge. The TB bells are totally curved, but a slightly smaller scale than what I need.

That way as I move my arms the edge of the shoulder caps will overlap the edge of the BP at the upper sides. The BP will be form fit tighter to my chest, and cut a bit thinner at that point.

Looking at the picture in the O.P. again, it DOES almost look like he has a sleeveless vest (see right under his left arm). That may be the way to do it then. Have an crinkle undertunic with long sleeves and a sleeveless outer tunic that the chest and shoulder armor attach to. The weight of the BP would keep the neck line in position, thus keeping the shoulder bells relatively in position too. I like this idea. Thanks 'Mynn!

I've seen a ultra-hi-def image of the S.A. on the web... can't remember where off hand. I wasn't looking to capture S.A. images at the time. Just ordered the Xbox 360 a few minutes ago. Setting up my surround-sound system in my living room finally this weekend ... been procrastinating for months on that. Soon as the game comes out, I'm good to go for reference pix. ...waiting...

I wouldn't mind the rags, it would be a change from the rest of my costumes. I need to find some better pics though...
