Has anyone ever made a costume based on Jedi seen in video games? Knights of the Old Republic II springs to mind as having some very cool Jedi outfits. There are suits of Jedi armor which appear to be mostly metallic full plate, with an attached robe-looking thing that looks like splint mail. There are different variations on this armor throughout the game in a few different donimant colors, including black, green, and blue, all of which are very dark. Armor like that would be far beyond my ability to make, but it would be pretty cool if anyone could pull it off.
There's also a character in the game who wears an all-white version of an otherwise normal Jedi outfit, which looks pretty slick. Unfortunately, the character turns out to be Dark Side, which may make costumes based on that outfit ineligible here. Still, it might make for an interesting project.

However, members must cite their source (book and page number) as to what Jedi wore that particular costume or color, and submit it the Jedi Council for approval. and... If someone has an original idea they are encouraged to submit a well-lit picture and write-up to the Jedi Council for review, although this does not guarantee membership approval.

Actually, the more I think about the KOTOR II Jedi armor, the more I like the idea of a costume based on it. I've thought of a few possible ways to do it since making my previous post.
I was planning on doing something based on Obi-Wan's Clone Wars armor, but I'm liking this idea better. Since one reference is a cartoon and the other is a video game, they both leave a lot of room for interpretation, so maybe I could do something that draws inspiration from both.
Here's where my mind is going at the moment (it's entirely possible -- even likely -- that it'll shoot off in a different direction five seconds after I hit "post"): I'd rather go with more "traditional" Jedi colors than the greens, blues, and purples that dominate the armor in the game. So maybe a brown cloak, tan tunic and pants, and the armor itself could be a deep, burnished bronze color. I could probably still get away with using a clone trooper armor kit for a base, giving it a coat of metallic bronze paint and a high-gloss overcoat. And if I could figure out a way to do it, a rainbow "oil slick" finish would look pretty cool
Ah yes... I'm liking this idea more and more, the more I think about it. ;D

That sounds awesome. Maybe even give your lightsabre the same bronze finish as the armour? That would look good.
