Greetings, Valin, It's hard to say what to do in your case. That costume may last you a couple of wears, as you were hoping, but it's a lot of money (relatively) to spend for something you think you may not keep for long. The $50+ that costume costs could go a long way towards a more permanent costume for you if think creatively and enjoy "the hunt." I understand that you're in a bit of a hurry for your party. I just have to wonder how long it would take for you to put something together that would last you a lot longer. There are plenty of people here who have put together excellent costumes on a limited budget and I'm sure they could give you a lot of advice on how they did it. Whatever you decide, as long as you're happy with your costume that's what really matters.

Hi Valin! It is hard to tell from the picture the quality of the fabric, but I will tell you this: the Obi-Wan costume that is pictured on that same page is the Rubies one I bought 3 years ago, before I made my own, and I wouldn't wear it. It just looked too fake. The fabric was that typical polyester that they make most costumes out of, it had a string that you tie behind your neck, and the pants have the boots sewn to them, like toppers. The belt and all the accessories are one piece of molded rubber, you really can't hang a lightsaber from it. Oh, and the tabbards were only in the front.
I have to believe that the Anakin that is being sold thre is a Rubies also, and if you ask me, it just isn't worth the money.
But the best person to ask is Nova Darklighter. She could tell you if it's a Rubies or not.

It is most definitly the Rubies costume, although it is just slightly better than the Obi Wan, it's gonna cost you more than it's worth, plus shipping will add a hefty bit to the price. You can probably get it at your local party store or Wal marts as cheaply. The latex rubber belt is the worst thing about it. It should be a heavier grade of nylon (it's the one called pique as opposed to the lt. wt. 70 denier that the Obi Wan is) than the Obi Wan costume, w/ pleather tabbards, of the Rubies SW costumes, it & DMaul are the better ones w/ the CloneTrooper & Jango also better than the older ones, but not great by any means. I'd save the money & put it toward a better costume. You said it was for an interim till you get your actual Jedi, I'd wait. If you have another option, I'd do that instead. Greetings by the way, I don't think I've seen you on the boards before.
