[glow=red,2,300]Here We Go...[/glow]Here is an idea for the costume that I plan on making. I wanted to draw it out for the Jedi Counsil BEFORE I make it and they say, "No, that is not acceptable Jedi Attire, you will not be granted membership." Not that it's going to happen that way, I just want to be prepared. Comments? ;D Geo-Ki Zeruel Jedi Fashion Design

lol! You make us sound awful. But you are smart to do a sketch first. Nice work, by the way! You are talented. It looks like a traditional Jedi costume to me! I like the idea of the short sleeves. Interesting concept. What do the face markings represent?

[glow=red,2,300]Thank you[/glow] LoL... I guess it did come off kinda harshly, but it wasn't meant that way. I don't think that you are horrible, I just know the effort it takes ME to complete an outfit, so I wanted to make certian that I had a good idea BEFORE I put in the effort. I may be talented at drawing, but as far as sewing goes... I stink! So you do like the short sleeve idea? I wasn't sure if I was trying to be too different.. The short sleeve Idea came from when I was in Karate... I found it much easier to move when I had rolled up my sleeves, so I figured I would apply it to my Jedi Outfit. Which Idea do you like better? The one with only the short sleeves, or the one where I have the tie so I can have the option to shorten them? Again thanks for your imput. I'm currently working on the jedi healer outfit for my roommate. I need to find my blue pens. After that, who knows? Maybe I'll be able to design that Jedi swimwear I saw on a thread somewhere... Geo ;D

[glow=red,2,300]Oops!![/glow]I forgot to answer your OTHER question...sigh my brain just isn't what it used to be About the facial markings, I haven't really decided. Either they are burn marks left on her by a Sith who decided to torment her, OR They are kinda like warpaint that she wears. I was toying with the idea that she saw the face of this Sith in a dream, and she wears the paint to remind herself what he/she looks like, so that when she sees him again, she can be prepared. Or I might just tie the two ideas together, I haven't decided. Just like the sleeves.

Wow. I like that. Looks good enough to me. It is definitely Jedi-like, which I lbelieve is the big thing the Council is looking for. A lot of costumes out there have no similarity to the Jedi in the movies so people ask them what the heck are they. LOL. I think your costume is greta and I love the idea about the facial markings being scars... or maybe like you said the ones she saw in a dream and wanted to remember them.
Nice sketches. Do you do fashion design work as a trade or hobby?

[glow=red,2,300]To be honset...[/glow]This is the first time I've EVER tried to do fashion design. I don't really like REAL fashion design.. I think it's mean to make Really anorexic women wear next to nothing so we can see their bones... but designing costumes for something I like is alot of fun! I've been drawing since I was ten... I'm currently writing a book that I want to make into a comic book. I went to school for commercial art, but I never finished. I have done some work on the side, but nothing too fancy. I do love to draw character pictures, I used to draw the characters in my D&D adventures, and I drew a REALLY cool one Of Geo-Ki, but I left it at work today. I'll get it tomorrow and scan it in, maybe under a new thread in the Cantina. Thanks for your compliments! It makes me so hapy I could Cry... ;D Geo

WOW! That's very nice.:-) I like that look. The short sleeves remind me of a Medieval archer's. That's a neat look, and seems it'd be comfortable in the summer months..
Amazing sketch.. I've been drawing myself since I was 6 but it comes and goes in spurts. I never tried to draw my costume fashions, I always messed with cloth ona 3 D model.Looks like I need to practice drawing people.:-D
The face amrkings are neat. Maybe they represent her tribe or her family, simialr to Zabbrac

I don't see a problem with short sleeves at that length, I have a tunic with very similiar sleeves, tunic sleeve about elbow length, and the under sleeves are fitted, keeps them out of the way. Good renderings. It's a pretty clear pic of what they'd look like when done.

[glow=red,2,300]Ok..[/glow] Here's the other design I mentioned. This is the one for my roommate, who wanted to be a jedi healer. The Undershirt, pants, robe, tabbards and Obi are Dark blue, like indigo. The Outer Tunic is Cream colored The Belt and Boots are going to be black. I think that's it for the details.. a little easier than my first one. Let me know what you think! I'll be working on that jedi swimwear now. Geo

I think that looks like what I expect a Jedi healer to look like, very nice indeed.

Geo, I really like the healer garb. DO you do d rawings for people with their ideas? Or just whatever pops into your head.? I'm going to see how the colors would look in photo shop. may I use them for a future costume?

Geo, I know I'm a little late on the posts, but I really like the "rolled up and tied/buttoned" look. I think it would give it a fullness and solidity in the sleeves you might miss if you made them shorter, also it would give you the option of making them long from time to time. Laan's 2 cents, anyway. Great drawings!

[glow=red,2,300]Jauhzmynn Enz...[/glow]No. You can't use my colors. Sorry.. that was the Sith in me...haha Anyway, I have had a couple of people ask me about ideas, (not in this forum) and I would be willing to do them as long as you give me a VERY detailed description, so I don't totally mess it up. You could use those colors if you like, I don't really see how I could stop you... and I'm not that leagalistic anyway. Besides, (stealing quote from Schph) This is supposed to be fun...right? Geo
