I went to my local flea market today and discovered they had a costume rental place there. What was even more amazing was that they were going out of business and were selling all of their costumes for the price of a one-day rental! So I perused their pile of costumes, thinking there'd be a lot of Rubies, but it turns out she was a professional costumer. I discoveerd what they called a "Knight Adviser" costume. I descibe it to be more os a Yoda-style costume. It has a plain brown V-neck shirt (kind of like a scrub top only with long full sleeves) under what she had labeled as a long vest. The "vest" is really what the tunic is supposed to be, only a lot longer than a prequel era tunic, comes down past my knees. Tan colored with flecks of brown. It is held closed with what she called a "scarf" -- a long obi, same color as the vest, but so long I can wrap it around me like 3 times. The obi wraps around the vest so the vest opens like a split skirt. It also had the brown hooded robe, which is what I was really interested in. And a cheapie belt, the stretchy kind like a boy scout would wear. But put all together it looks kind of cool, a tad different than the norm. Do you think this would be considered Yoda style (Ep. II). I will try to get a picture posted. The best part, the whole thing (all 5 pieces) cost only $30!! ;D Heck, she had more than that invested in the material for it!

I think I know the company that she got them from, I sometimes order stuff for the store from a company called Alexanders, their stuff is rental/theatre quality and if it came from there you got a great deal. Where was the place you got it from? What was the name of the shop, I wonder if I know them, we're a pretty small industry, so we usually know of each other by rep, if nothing else. That looks really good on you, BTW. And that's less than a Rubies deluxe adult Jedi, or a Deluxe Jedi Robe too.

Nova
The shop is called Main Street Emporium in Celina, Ohio. I think she may have made her own, but I only think this because she did have a nice sewing machine set up in her shop. She also had a stormtrooper and clone trooper, but they weren't that good (not good enough for the 501st and has the vinyl Rubie's mask).
Thanks for the compliment. The picture of the Nerfherder and I is actually one of the best photos we've ever taken -- and it was taken by our 7 year old son on a cheapy cheapy $20 digital camera. LOL
