I've been to the first one ever--in San Diego back in early 80s and been to Costumecon 16 in Baltimore. there's one coming April 18-21st one in 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia, which I hope to attend. These are great places for the novice, journeyman and master costumer to attend and learn.

Costume-Con 21 Deadlines:
March 1, 2002 is the last day to register for the conference at the $70 rate. Memberships will be $80 at the door.
March 18, 2003 is the deadline for Video Masquerade entries.
March 26, 2003 is the deadline for Hotel Room Reservations; however, the hotel has already run out of rooms in the reservation block. The con com should be contacting the hotel to extend the room block, but there are no guarantees. You may wish to contact the con com in case you have trouble making your reservation!
April 1, 2003 is the deadline for advertising in the Program Book.
April 1, 2003 is the deadline for reserving space on the hotel shuttle to O'Hare International Airport. The con com recommends AGAINST flying to Midway Airport.
April 14, 2003 is the deadline for Doll Competition/Exhibition entries to arrive if mailed in.
April 17, 2003 is the deadline to pre-register for Doll Competition/Exhibition entries.
