H U L K,,,,,,, IS ONE OF THE BEST COMIC BOOK TO MOVIES SINCE X-MEN, GREAT CGI HULK, THINX YOU GUYS WILL LIKE THE MOVIE, GO SEE IT, GO SEE THE HULK SMASH A TANK AND USE IT LIKE A HAMMER IN THE OLIMPICS..... LOL,MAY GO SEE IT AGAIN TOMORROW, WHY YOU ASK, I AM A HULKA-MANIAC, SORRY MR. HOGAN, BUT THE GREEN GUY CAME FIRST LOL, THE LINES WERE LONG BUT THE STANDING AND WAITING WAS WELL WORTH MY TIME, GOOD POPCORN ALSO,LOL
SO FOR THE LOUD TYPING, BUT LOVED THE HULK, MAY I SUGGEST TO LOOK FOR LOU FERIGNO.......
I ALSO PRUCHASED THE SIMPLICITY PATTERN 8311, THAT KIMO TUNIC LOOX TO BE A GOOD LAY OUT, AND FOR MY SIZE, NOT TO MUCH TO DO IN THE EXPASION, MAY EXPAND THE BACK 3/4 OF AN INCH FROM FOLD, THUS GIVING ME AN 1 1/2 ADDED TO THE ALREADY 56 INCH LISTING ON THE KIMONO TUNIC, GOTTA HAVE SOME PLAY ROOM. LOL ALSO BAOUGHT THE MCcalls tunic pattern, but it turned out to be the kid's pattern, way to small for me, i may use it for my ewok padawan's tunic and robes, but i'll have to see how my fifth attemp turns out first.....it is close to the right size i want, i also think i'll do it all longed out then trim and hem to desired length.......but if i do screw this one up, this is the pattern i will use in the end........there can be only one tunic design ,lol little higlander humor there,
oh by the way how's ya likes my new pic, took this jedi iq test last week the result yes, master yoda, cant remeber where the site was, but i'll look for it tho

i; flubbed the fourth attempt up as well, but i think i figured out my mishaps, i didnt make the back and or front peices wide enuff, forgot to expand in the right areas, i will try again, but this will be my attempt that will either break me, or make me...lol
if and when my pix are posted ,trust me they look worse in person...........and the darker one, it does look better but not what i wanted either....... so cross you fringers and and toes, and wish me luck on this make me break tunic..lol .......it will be grey, mid thigh, maybe with tabbards maybe not, trimmed in a black one inch edging, i hope it finally worx out this time, the material is awesome, 100% cotton, nice grey color,,,,,,,,working on a vynil belt to go along with it as a temperary until i can decide to either buy a belt, or make one from scratch,,,,,,,again my ideal tunic(future tunic) has been put on an indefinate hold,,,,,,,,, i do have a question. when i expend the front peices of pattern 8311(simplicity), would i expand it at the shoulder area, or at the side area also started on the deep maroon (or a facimily of maroon for my waist wrap.) the memoriam thingy i have drawn it up, looks good on paper, but we'll see........................we will see....

Generally it depends on how much expansion, usually both places. Closing time, more Fri.

Well um I kinda have become really frusterated sewing so I have a list of stuff I want. umm yeah Maras green tunics, as well as her black cat suit and a traditional Jedi tunic set from raw silk. yeah the whole works on that belst and all. Im gonna takel a Bear clan cosrume for my daughter but after making Tahiris tunics. I umm kinda sent my list to Misty Castel and Im gonna have them make a bunch of it. I really dont have patients for such projects. Its insane. so Jencappa and Silverleaf now have my list LOL so I am gonna be lame and have my stuff made. Now if we wore rag quilts yeah Id be able to but wetween my little kids and pets and paintball and all my stuff I have like no time. Yeah yeah call me lame so what LOL

not lame vote from me too...
I did the sewing parts...but the leatherworking stuff...well...I left that to someone else to do...and I am glad I did. One has to look at their time limitations and the whole big picture...do what they can...and hire someone to do the rest....lol.....
works for me!

update on my lastest tunic attempt.....................
well , bad tunic news, it fell thru again......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1(lol)
anayways, things were going great, imade everything 3 inches wider at the shoulder areas(front and back), plus the the fold line i added (the back center line) well i added 2 inches there, still things were going great, and i mean i was pleased thus far.........then it happened........i was removing a hem stich, and riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppppppppp, a 2 foot rip up the back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,that erked me big time..........but i frankensteined it(stiched it up,lol).......then while applying my brown leatherette applique, the material curled up on me, so i had to pull the stiches from that, bam while removing the sticthes, it riiiiiiiped again,,,,,,,
plus and the vinyl applique, well while removing it to fix the curled material, the backing on the vinyl tore away and was fused to the material, thus several more rips accuored, so i trashed the peice, and it was going so good this time, i mean great i had the right back and shouler fit, the right length to cut and hem from..........the sleeeves were good untilt the cuff hem, the thread wasn't dark enuogh,,,, the material is a medium to dark grey,,,,,,,,,,,the thread was supposed to match better yet it was a dark gun metal color, it matched the material,,,,,,,, until sewn , the thread came out a light blue, which ruined the overall look, but the rips hulked me out, so i trashed the material, i guess i got what i paid for lol $1.00 a yard for the material....................awwwwww well ce' le' vie(such is life)

Als-da it sounds as if the fabric was "dry rotted" it happens when fabric is to old and stored improperly. well at least it was not to expensive, an you've figured out your pattern. Before you buy fabric give a good tug or two on it, not at a tear, but at a solid spot, also when removing stiches, a seam ripper is good, but make sure it has a safety ball on the other prong as this is a frequent culprit in rips as you remove stiches. Generally once you've attached pleather with an adhesive, it's not going to come of whole. Better luck on the next attempt, it sound like you'll get next time.

the last attempt the material was perfect 100%cotton, perfect weight color look, feel texture, i can stand and pull that material and no rips, that's what i thought i was getting this time round, the material was a thinner version, same color, i said coool get it, get home sew the thing na drip here rip there looked battle scarred tunics from the clone wars........i used the somplicitycostume patter8311,i then cut the kimono in half at the middle trianglular area, and on the fold line for the back i cam dwon from the fold 2 inches, but first i cut the back peice at the shoulder area as i did the fron and measure betweent those cuts three inches, thus making the kimono about 14 inches in overall sizingand then i cut the peices (well i used my kitchen table as a length ,i cut the material three inches fro edge of table, thus making the tunic drape passed my knees.........i made atemperary jedi beltwhich also doubles as a waist wrap, just to give me a basic look while tunic was closed, looked good ,then the riping the needless ripppppppping.............lol,after the primary fitting everything was perfect, the tunic draped in all the right places, over the edge of the belt, off the shoulders, for me the baggy look for someone smaller,o wellway baggy lol .anyways thanx for the vote a confidence nova appreciates it................one more maybe this time i'll get it right..........as i say number six on the way lol, question about the thread why doesnt it work right, the gun metal thread match the material perfectly, but it came out an ugly greyish blue, not atall what i was expecting..............may just do the whole thing in white, and dye it grey, thread and all....lol

I have officially begun work on my Luke ROTJ "Black" costume. I have the material for the suit and of course my new boots to go with it. I just need to find a wool/cotton blend for my cape/robe, finish my belt and new lightsaber design....and as they say the rest will be history.
