Nice combination. It will work and I have seen many Jedi costumes made of the same material. I would suggest trying to find something thinner for the inner tunic since all the layers tend to get warm.

The gauze is nice or a cotton single knit fabric.

Osnaburg is great for an outer tunic, but 2 layers of that would be a bit warm, I usually use a cotton gauze or a light wt. muslin for the inner tunic, prefer the gauze though. Gauze c.an be gotten in many colours.

I have an outer tunic, tabbords & obi made out of osnaburg & yes they can be warm but they're comfortable. I recommend lining the outer tunic, especially the sleeves or it will be a pain to get on or off---I made one for home without lining & I think I'm going to add some lining at least to the sleeves.
Also bind the seams because osnaburg will unravel when washed. It washes & dries up just fine. Of course, calcutta is even worse for unraveling when not bound up. I learned the hard way about that.

Citoalcotar, Nice fabric and colour combination.
If heat is a problem, use the Under Armour Heat gear shirts. Try the cap or T shirt sleeved w/ a V neck, and attach the osenburge sleeves and neckline to that. It'll cut down in weight, and be smooth agaisnt you.
Over tunic, I'd line it so it'll lay nicely.
Taboords, put some medium weight interfacing inbetween the layers. If the fabric is thin, it'll give them some body.

I have always just bought my pants right off the rack, instead of making them (of having them made). That's always worked for both my husband's costumes and mine, as the tunic and boots covers most of the pant anyway.

Agreed. I got all my pants at the Goodwill. Any brown, tan or cream cotton is best, with inset front pockets, but no back pockets (which might be seen under the tunic). And with plain side seams, as in not jeans.

Scrub pants will work if the colour is right.

I use dockers, found in Wal-mart. Thrift stores for $3 pants.
Or already found pants, like Hakama from martial arts classes.
