Is Kropserkel.com Anakin costume any inaccurate? The fabric for the outer tunic doesn't seem right. No waffle and crinkle textures on it for ROTS. Plus, I hear they're really expensive.

I'm a member of Sonsofthesuns.com forum. I was the first one there about the maker cloth ears costumes there, under the user name Matakin (My Anakin name).

But anyways, I'm waiting for Justin (Primrodo) to finish my Anakin tunic and robe part by this week. Hopefully I'll then finish my Anakin costume then. But without accurate boots. I'm currently waiting for Claudio's glove, but need buckles from clothears. I'll have to wear my Bay boots to CIV. Hopefully by SDCC 2007, if I may attend, I should have Boutique boots by then, only if I order.

Not to hijack, but www.clothearscostumes.com/ I did a quick currency converter, over $400 for a robe? Did I do that right? Anyone buy from them?

I think that's right. Take the British pounds and add about half as much again to approximate the US dollar cost.
I think $400 is a bit much for a jedi robe. You can find melton wool yourself and have Captain Carter make it for you for probably around $200 or so...

Actually, if you take the number of pounds and double it, that's approximately how much it is in dollars now. This is a good exchange rate web site.

it was about $1.98.9 when I was there a couple of weeks ago, plus shipping from the UK is usually pretty high.

The robe offered on that site is pretty good but anyone looking for an acurate robe that knows a lot about how it should look will not buy it. Especially not for around 400 bucks! The boots offered on their site look pretty good, but again not acurate enough. And for around 600 bucks base with shipping not even factored into the equation they take a dive into the "not gonna happen" category pretty darn quick. On the upside however their colors seem to be pretty spot on. This is nice, but there are still things that tell me no and price is definately part of that... a big part. My main reason though would have to be acuracy. I am complete stickler for it and it has a great deal to do with why I am still a completely costume-less Jedi. As for good Anakin or even good Obi-Wan costumes take a look at Captain Carter, I have heard nothing but good things about them and they are usually outstanding with their customer service. I have often wondered what would happen if I approached a costume maker and told them about the errors in their designs and offered to help them fix the problems... I would probably get called a crazy hermit. By the way, the easiest way I have found to get currency if to get a Google search bar (if you don't already have one included in your web browser, such as with Firefox or Opera) and then just type in the number to whatever you are trying to get the amount of. Such as "45 pounds to dollars". This also works with measurements of length or mass.
