I might of saw on TJA, that someone purchased Simon thingy's Costume Bay Obi-Wan Tunic into orange color. I thought it was impossible to dye it cause it's made of polyester blend. Even the texture/surface looks the same, just in different color. How does dying polyester work to stay on permanently?

Polyester doesn't dye, unless you want to use toxic substances that may not be legal for home use. Polyester colors resist fading because they resist changing at all. You can still write on polyester with a Sharpie, but that only works if you want to make a stain.

Why would you dye an Obi Wan tunic orange? Poly blends will dye sometimes, but not well. Dying poly is pointless.it can be gotten in any colour.

Well you're going to have to ask someone from either TJA or Rebellegion. I saw it from either one. It was just for being a fan fictional Jedi. Not meant to be Obi-Wan.

I think that whatever it is blended with might dye, but your results will depend on what that is. If it's cotton, you might get a denim-ish sort of look, like some threads will take the color and some won't.
