Anyone know a fabric that would be a good match for Mace's tunic in Episode III?

I used a 100% Natural, Unbleached, Undyed Linen, great colour and texture.

That M505 would be great. Decent price too for silk.

Thanks for the info. I am going to have Trinikwan from Ebay make the tunic. I think I am going to go with the M505 Silk if it is not too expensive.

yes, that trimfabric wool/silk blend looks dead on. But $22.96/yd, on SALE! Yikes.
Agree, 505 looks ok and the price is excellent. I can't tell if it's the right shade though.

Well scratch that idea as the fabric alone would cost her way too much. Anyone ever try Kit Fisto? I was wondering what color would work for that?

The trim fabric one is very nice, the 505 is I think to grey, the flecking is black, the other is not to bad, but still has black.

I looked at my 'Dressing A Galaxy' book and the trimfabric one is close, though expensive. Kit Fisto wears all brown tunics and robe in solid colors which would not be as hard to find as Mace's, but you do have to worry about the head and hands if you're trying to do the character.

I made a tunic of the M505 material. Everyone thinks my costume looks like Mace Windu's when I wear it, so it's pretty good in that regard, but Nova is right. It is, in reality, much grayer than Mace's tunic, coming off as taupe at a distance instead of Mace's light brown. (I wanted something similar to, but not exactly like, Mace Windu's tunic fabric, and the M505 fit the bill nicely for that).
For something close enough that they'll know what you're supposed to be, the M505 will work. For something that's as close as anything I have ever seen, the Trim Fabric is the stuff. Like Ani-Chay, I compared it to my "Dressing a Galaxy" book and it's not exactly the same, but it may be as close as we're going to find without locating the exact fabric.
With regards to Kit Fisto, from looking at a lot of pictures of him, I'm pretty sure his outer tunic is linen. I've seen one where he's standing with Saessee Tiin and Agen Kolar and his tunic is wrinkled just like Tiin's, and both are wrinkled in just the way linen wrinkles. (Linen is very prone to wrinkling). Plus, looking at Tiin's tunics in the gatefold of my deluxe "Dressing a Galaxy," I'm about 99% sure his tunic is linen, because it has a linen weave to it.
As such, I'm pretty sure that linen is the right outer tunic fabric. That probably won't solve your problem, though, because linen isn't cheap either. I'm not sure about the 1st inner tunic Fisto wears, the regular one, but the 2nd inner tunic, the one with the collar, is likely a silk knit or silk jersey. Silk jersey is hideously expensive, but you can get away with cotton. It'll look fine, it'll just be hotter.
