I had the same problem with getting pics of my costume. When I had to replace my camera I made sure I got one with a time and I broke down and bought a tripod. I still have to move furniture to set up a decent costume pic, but it works. I would never have done it with a film camera, but with digital, it's easy to erase the mistakes.

Film and digital photography rock. Once I'm done with the costum orders and they'er shipped out, I'll don my gear and snap pics.

As for the picture, I think Primrodo or Leda found it. I think youn ObiWan's in like that as well. It is a lotta peices but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. Yeah that picture is the pattern I designed... I drew that sketch up for reference. It still has issues I'm having trouble resovling though... it bunches up too much in the front... maybe darts would be good... I didn't think to put any. I would love to see Nova's pattern.... ;D And this time I'm not putting the trim all the way to the bottom... I think it stops at the waist. This way the front lays more flat.

Yeah, I stop the front collar at the waist, so the end is hidden under the obi. The tail at the end of the flap never hangs right if it's too long.

I've done them both ways, depends on how much bias I cut.

I hadn't tried that option yet. Finally my tunics are done. YAHOOOO!!!!! They fit well, I only need piower cells for the cam to take pics. They finally bit the dust.

Finally some pics of the gear. I didn't get any back shots, it was pretty hot last week. I'll try for some this coming weekend. Under tunic is a vine and flower embossed silk shirt. over tunic raw silk. Tabbords and obi, crinkled cotton with vines ghost embroidered on them. Unfortuantly none of these textures are seen unless it's very close up. pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1469/5249155/10634885/153217277.jpg[/img]

Been doing some marathon sewing myself, again, but none for me this time, 3 or 4 commissions, most with the same deadline, and my workhorse serger is being especially wonky, agh! Spent most of 3 hours dismantling and cleaning and oiling it, it's better, but still not great, think it needs either a new presser foot or feed dog or both, got to call my mechanic tomorrow, tho' it could be the fingerhook, aggh! More Kaff! More Kaff!

Oh boy. I hope the serger will behave itself now. Hang in there.
