I'm gonn'a be doing a beige and browns version of RotS Anakin, being I love my variations, and I don't have a pattern for making pants, nor am I daring enough to try it without a pattern, since I've not done more sewing work other than the taberds for my AotC Anakin. Any suggestions on patterns to use and such?

Dockers or D*ickies pants w/o cargo pockets are good, Most patterns for "Jedi" type costumes have a very simple pattern included for basic elastic waist pants, you should have no problem sewing them, they usually take about 1 1/2 -2 1/2 yds of fabric I think, depends on width mostly, less for wider fabric.

Like nova said, dickies work pants are your best bet. There really isnt a need to sew your own pants for Ani's costume.

im sewing my own pants, but im using a pattern for an elastic waist pants normally designed for scrubs that surgeons wear. it looks good for the pants and is a very simple pattern, and it lets you choose your fabric, and exact color.

If you have 4450, it's probably the same pattern for the pants as scrubs, they're both that type.

At Walmart they sell scrubs in all sizes and in just about every color. I saw them the other day and thought they would make good Jedi pants. They come in tan. Also the top could pass for an undertunic, with a bit of alteration.

I used a pattern for a pair of scrubs to use as the basis for a pattern for an undertunic. The collar is close and simple but it generally needs to be higher and of course the long sleeves need to be added.
I did make one pair of pants because I wanted them made from the same material as the tabards, but otherwise I just buy off the rack.
