Out of curiosity has anyone ordered this costume? I am fairly sure the boots are good but haven't heard anyone talk about the costume. If anyone has can you give a thorough report. Include your dealings with them, did you have to wait a long time to get it, that sort of thing. I am a dealer for Museum Replicas and they are well known for not having items in stock and the wait being long. There have also been bad reports on the costumes not fitting well in places among other things. I will be ordering a pair of the boots on my next stock order so I can give a report on them but have no plans to get the costume (one of my employees was going to order one but that may be a long time coming). Any help on this would be appreciated.

I saw it at DCon last sept. it looked ok, but I didn't really go over it with a fine tooth comb.

The tunic really shouldn't fit tightly. I finally found it on MR site. It's on close out. The main problem with it is that it has a high neck/collar, which isn't screen accurate. But for the cost, it's OK. The fabric seems much, much better than Rubies.

Oh, the fabric is definitly better than Rubies, it was a fairly heavy cotton when I saw it at DCon. Somebody we were talking to ordered it on site, so, I remember feeling the fabric. Rubies is a polyester pique knit, heavier than some of their costumes, but not great.

I just ordered this costume & found that I like it. For the money it's so much better than Rubys. I wish I'd had it at C3. Since I can't sew a costume this is the closest I've been able to find short of having someone make a canon costume for me. It is a bit large but I'm planning on having some slight alterations to it for better fit. Does anybody know if or how you might line the sleeves. Also Rubys brown robe should do ok, right?

Janqui, if you're going to buy a Rubies robe, there is a way you can get a deluxe robe for half the price. Rubies sells a "friar tuck" costume, which is the same texture as the Jedi deluxe robe. www.costumeuniverse.com/details.asp?prodid=32256&cat=38000&path=30000,38000 Large picture www.halloweencostumeworld.com/images/rubies/adult%20costumes/16349.jpgThis can be turned into a jedi robe in a matter of minutes. The friar robe has a seam right up the middle of the front. All you have to do is cut at the seam, then sew the edges back, so you'll have a clean line. If you can't find someone to do this, I guess you could pin them back. The only other change to be made is to snip the two rings on the side which hold the belt. And there you go! I only paid 20 dollars for the friar costume, and I got a robe out of it that was worth 50 dollars ;D

Thanks, How heavy should those robes be? Because I do have a deluxe brown Rubies robe but it has tie strings at the top, which if needed could be snipped off. It did help to keep the robe on during C3
