I see this and looks really cool. But just wondering who has it and their thoughts before I plunk down $120+? Thanks for your input!

I have it, but only used it once since I bought it, because my dogs hate it and attack it !! But we did like it...has a few gliches, but it was kinda fun to use. Don't know how fast the novelty of it would wear off though, since we didn't use it much.

You are talking about the Astrotec R2 right? Mine is about 17 inches tall and takes 4-D cell batteries and 4-AA cell batteries and weighs 3 pounds...... I have him and I love him. I don't play with him anymore unless someone comes over and wants to see him in action, but he is a great collectors item and he has a place of honor on my display case. I bought mine in 2002 when they first came out and I paid $79.00 for him. So as you can see he has already gone up in price....... He is definitely an investment as well as entertaining....

Thanks Em and Shoshanna; I'll probably get him after we move to FL(this May). One less thing to move.

I do! He's great. I got him from Costco at about $70...what a deal! He's kinda fun to play with (anyone else found the 'easter eggs' yet?) And it's neat just to see him sset up, sitting in my room. But the best part is, my nephew LOVES him! He's at the perfect scale for him. Whenever he comes over, he always asks to "Pay wif Ah-too?"

I have him and love playing with him. My ferrets love to romp around with him as well. The unit is a lot of money, but well worth it I think. (And no, we haven't found the easter eggs yet, so if you do find them let me know!)

[ftp]http://www.ultimatetoys.com.my/new/Star%20Wars/InteractiveR2d2/InteractiveR2D2.htm[/ftp] For Easter eggs, scroll down toward the bottom of the page. Actually the page is a pretty good little review, even w/o the Easter eggs. I don't have him (yet) but have seen him in the stores and have been tempted....
