Yes.... it was Johnson's Air Force 1 and the door was installed for the beagles. When I'm volunteering in that area, I challenge all the kids who come through to find it!

The shuttle can be seen on the flight deck of the Intrepid under a huge tarp. Last week I drove by the Intrepid on my way to work and saw this amazing sight.

I live in Centreville, VA and the Discovery flew right over my house during final approach to the washington Dulles Airport.....now in the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum right where the Enterprise use to sit. Quite an awesome sight!!

Man, you would think they would have been more prepared to house the vehicle. It's under a tent for gosh sake... Don't get me started! I'm still a bit angry about the process. In order to even put in a bid, it was required that the bidding entity have a building. Seattle's Museum of Flight built a building. It was there before the decision was made. Who got the shuttles? At least two places that have no building. LA still has it in storage at LAX because they can't even afford to move it, let alone have a place to display it! Grrrrr.
