No, not two people; just one vagrant. I figured I'd introduce myself briefly before going back to lurking, here. So hi there, long time admirer of the Jedi Order here! I've actually made 2 sets of jedi robes over the past 5 years: the first one was an attempt at making something inspired by Shaak Ti's garb, and after spending hours and hours on it, I realized that I was in over my head. That's when I was 16-17. My second attempt was a year later, and that time I was going for something far more traditional, and ended up with a finished result that I really liked, actually. Unfortunately, to make a long story short, the entire outfit ended up in a friend's locker for 6 months alongside a bag of food... needless to say, I didn't even want to touch it when I saw it again, and in the trash it went. So here I am, buckling down to get a set of robes done that could get me into the Rebel Legion as well as the Assembly. Of course RL will be a long time coming as I'll need to save up for a custom saber, but for now I want to focus on a quality costume that I can join this community with and be proud of. Here's what I had in mind: Wish me luck in getting it done in time for SDCC! (I'm supposed to be making my mom a jedi costume as well ;D)

Welcome! Too bad about your previous Jedi garb! We have plenty of tutorials to help with your new kit. And feel free to ask any questions in the various costume and prop threads. www.thejediassembly.com/tutorials.php That's a very nice sketch of a nice, traditional Jedi kit. Ya know, you'll need a saber here, too. However, you do not need a custom saber to join RL nor to join us. You just need something that's not a toy. I made my first one myself....and without power tools! I was inspired so many years ago by padawansguide www.padawansguide.com/lightsabers.shtml home.comcast.net/~jedikai/lightsaber.pdf

Thanks everyone.
And lol, it's not too extraordinary, Leda... I'm an Angelino that happens to be going to school in NY. (Okay, so it's pretty d**n cool to have the opportunity to do so... but I wish it would make a more exciting story, haha!)
