Actually karate tunics don't work that well for Jedi costumes. They are too identified as karate tops. The differences are:
Karate tunics have slits on the sides and are straight cut - Jedi tunics don't and have an angular cut.
Karate tunics have shorter sleeves and a lot of stitching on the collar while Jedi tunics don't.
Most of us make our own tunics or have friend who can sew, or shop online. Do you want to make your own or buy?

I go my first one from Carroll Creations. Dunno if they are still around or not. eBay usually has some decent ones up for auction too. Costume Bay (now known as Cosplayying I think on ebay) has some nice stuff

You can try E-Bay, or a seamstress/tailor to make one that fits you.
Cor-al, I got my first tunics from that place too, they made great bases for constructing my own.

Red is largely considered Sith... Just to let you know, we here at TJA will accept only the "standard" Jedi colors (browns and tans)for a approved costume. However, you can have other non-approved wear for fun. Heck we have sparkly "party" Jedi floating around here somewhere

I thought red was mainly sith in lightsaber type. My type is red for the turnic because well I have a RP character that has red and he used to be a jedi.

In any case, whether Red=Sith or not, The Jedi Assembly's code for costumes would not normally accept red as the standard is tans and browns unless specific documentation of a lightside Jedi in other colors can be provided. Please read www.thejediassembly.com/jedicode.php?art=v regarding the standards and what constitutes documentation (V.6.) before making a costume with which you would seek membership. If not seeking membership, you are, of course, welcome to seek advise on any style or color that pleases you.

Aaaaaah, and RP character. TJA doesn't do RPs, but we're happy to help with advice on Jedi costumes.
Buying one that is red is a little tough. The Jedi costume things that you can guy on ebay tend to use just the movie colors. Your best bet is to pay someone local to sew a red tunic, if there is anyone local for you. Some people on this forum will make costumes for people, but you need to go to the buy/sell section for that.
Are you just thinking of a Jedi costume of the same type as in the prequels? Or something different? If you can draw what you want for the costume, that would be a HUGE help to whoever you work with to make the costume.
