Does anyone have any wisdom of guidance about how to place and afix electronics into a hardware saber hilt. I'm using the sound elctronics from a hasbro toy saber and am not sure how to proceed.

WOW! I havent seen this thread before! Many apologies Jedi Shinobi....
I have seen assemblies where the electronics were hot glued to an insert that fit snugly (like cardboard or half a PVC tube).

I don't know if this has been posted or not. This is a really good site to discuss this sort of thing. You will need to join the discussion board, but it's really worth the effort. thecustomsabershop.com/sabers/Scripts/default.aspI also think this guy has some of the more less expensive items for sale than any other site I have found. I am using the electronics package from a MR Anakin lightsaber to make my custom saber. You can use almost all the electronics and then add an LED assembly from this shop to make your own LED lightsaber. Much more durable than EL and easier to work with. The 1 inch wide blades with the 1/8 inch walls are darn near indistructable. Because there is nothing inside the poly tube except the diffuser, there are no electronics to damage. Good luck!

No Worries Jedi Starkindler. I had a similar notion to what you stated. The main reason I posted this here is I am wanting to Take the sound module out an old, broken Hasbro saber and use it in my electronic one, the problem is the chip is small about 3/8" by 1.5". I thought about using "Liquid Electrical tape" by Plastidip.
