Yeah, zap somebody with a pacemaker and you've got a problem.
This might be good in a duel to encourage you not to allow yourself to get hit. Like in karate--- once you get punched in the ribs, you remember to keep your guard up.
But I wouldn't suggest you just make a zapping lightsaber for the heck of it, especially if you're unsure about how much voltage you're putting out.

a pair would bve great for practice duelling !! Like Leda said- good incentive to focus.
though I can remember sparring against one of my teachers once.....he moved so fast that even when he told me where he was gonna hit me all I could do was brush his arm or leg AFTER he'd hit me.

lol! Oh man... that's soooo frustrating. I had an instructor once who did the same thing... all I could do was just stand there and let him hit me. I think just the idea of sparring with him had me so psyched out that I'd lost the match even before we bowed in.

How rude of them to move like greased lightening like that. They outta' wait til we can do that. JK .:-D Amazing though isn't it? I knew of masters who moved so fast it was crazy, I'd just stand there watching them. Sheer poetry in motion.

I feel it prudent to remind everyone to check you local and state law regarding the ownership and manufacturing of Shock delivery devices. Many States have strict regulations on them.

A very good suggestion. Thanks for the reminder. Although we do have disclaimers here on the message board, not every reader will be sensible about building things that are potentially dangerous. Once I was reading a website about how to build a real lightsaber (one that has the ability to cut) out of a blowtorch.
