Would that light up? I have to admit, that's pretty pricey for something with no detail, and if it doesn't feature electronics, I'd suggest looking at RandomSabers (never thought I'd say that to anyone ;D ) Thats what i said since his stuff is no where near the detail that RLSA sabers or Randomsabers offers... Hee hee, what was the response?

I've seen that green bladed saber in his hilt gallery for sale on Ebay. I dont remember how much it sold for but I think it was around $130. I'm not particularly impressed with his hilts, they seem more suited for props or stunts in fan films where you wouldn't need a detailed saber.
I agree a Jedi should make their own saber, but realistically not everyone is capable of doing so. I can sew a costume just fine but when it comes to using power tools and saws forget it, I'm clumsy with them and they scare the crap out of me. However, I can use normal hand tools no problem and could probably manage a soldering tool (were I to try to make a blade)and I have no problem assembling the pieces of the saber as long as any cutting or drilling of metal and any possible welding is done for me.

When you say saws what kind of size are you talking about? A junior hacksaw is no problem to handle, and they're nice and small (also capable of doing most cuts you are likely to need) Other than a a rotary tool for lengthways cuts 'inside' the tube (ie not going to an open end) and drilling holes, there's not really any need for power tools when making a saber, you really can do most of it by hand

I need to agree with Tanzan. I live in a small appartment and the only available tools are a drill, a dremel, some screwdrivers and that's about it. Yet I made a sweet saber out of it: This was my first attempt at a custom saber... I believe anyone willing to do it can achieve it.

I need to agree with Tanzan. Hee hee, you make it sound such a hardship I live in a small appartment and the only available tools are a drill, a dremel, some screwdrivers and that's about it. Yet I made a sweet saber out of it: Exactly. Have you seen the DIY Graflex I'm working on? That was all done with a hacksaw and files, and the only time I used a rotary tool was to drill some holes (as I don't have a proper drill) I believe anyone willing to do it can achieve it. Yes, I think 'willing' is the key word there. I've seen so many comments (and this isn't directed at you, Faylana) where people have said "I can't do this, I can't do that" but never make the effor to try to learn the skill, and I think that frustrates me more than anything. I mean, if someone can't do it, fair enough, we can't all be good a everything, but to give up without attempting... That's just not the Jedi way...

Well I'm going to have to put this guy down as no good. I have tried to contact him and work with him and he has been very absent in answering emails. His comunication is just aweful. I then went and took the sneaky way and checked his ebay auctions and contacted the bidders on his work. Each person said that they never got the item and said that he had to refund the money for the product. Im sorry to say that he is not a reputable person and would suggest that if you see anyone ask about him to say that he does not communicate or come trhough with his work. Im really dissapointed by this event because i really liked the design of one of the pics i saw.
Alas, i have gone to Random, hopefully they can quickly take care of my needs

I'm sorry to hear that, it sounds like the guy's just smoke and mirrors... I had my suspicions when I saw the prices for the kind of detail the sabers had, I'm sure RandomSabers will be more than capable of accomodating your needs
