...a Padawan braid? I thought that if i was to get ahold of some prostetic hair, I could wrap the end in some tape (like the ends of shoelaces) and braid it. From there I could maybe attach it to a small aligator clip, and BAM! instant Padawan braid!

Well, I was gonna use spirit gum but my hair is to sparratic and I doubt that spirit gum would work to awfully well.

If you want to be really cheap like me just attach the braid to a unbent paper clip and wrap it around your ear. Works for me..(since my hair is kinda flaired out around the ears it makes it look like its my hair)

i have 2, one is made of my real hair from when i cut it super short 2 years ago and saved a piece (thats the one i always use) the way i made it was take the end of the hair, wrap it in electrical tape so it wouldnt fall apart and to attach it to my hair i take a little rubber band and attach it to the padawan braid i have growing and made another out of embroidery floss, im also growing out a real one thats getting long enough to go past my ear now, its been about 2 months since i started letting it grow out

Rubies does make a "Padawan braid". I have one (although I now have a real one growing) but the clip on it is not that good and it doesn't stay in well. I also found a cool-looking braid on a little comb which I used for a while. The color was an awesome silvery purple and it really stood out

I'm still in process of letting my hair grow for that. It still has quite a bit to go but the person who cuts my hair-- I do have very very short hair normally. I can't stand hair around my ears or on my neck--has attached a hairpiece to my own hair & has it braided with my hair. We have it small clear rubberbands at the top with my chosen color of blue at the top with it to keep it in place. I've just kept the braid in, although I'm on my 4th version because I attempted to shorten it too far & it kinked right at my neck. I also had one too heavy. I think I like this where I have it now I'll probably keep it. At the end of the braid we put some clear nail glue at the end to keep it together with my red rubber band to cover the glue. I had a braid with a clip & it fell out repeatedly. If you want to see my braid at a distance it's at this link with my new tunic. Pix 1-3 is new tunic without adjustments made to it. Pix 4 on is the current version of the tunic. www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&uid=4017369&gid=8655171&In pix 1-3 is the fat or short braid starting pix 4 is the braid I wear now.
