I'm looking to strip the gloss and re-dye an area where i made an error. any other ideas?

Tandy Pro Dye is alcohol based, while Super Sheen and Satin Sheen are water based.
The catalog lists Fiebings Dye Solvent and Tandy Pro Dye Solvent for the respective dyes. I don't know how effective they would be after the dye had dried completely.
Fiebings Deglazer is supposed to remove surface finishes. I've never used it, but according to the label on the Fiebings dye bottle, the recommended use is to remove the finish from shoes before redyeing them.
I hope this helps.
