I know exactly what you mean Leda! My casual interest in costuming turned into obsession when I came across Lord of the Rings. Star Wars stuff was only meant to be a sideline because of episode 3. lol I've stuck with it for longer than I expected. I have a long list of skills I'd like to learn, and things I never thought that I would ever consider making otherwise. Leatherwork and prop making are next on my list I did get my food capsules off ebay, but they aren't the ones you can open. They look to be cast in resin or something and then painted. The downside is that they don't sit as far down the belt as they should... Thanks Primrodo, I didn't know that. Everywhere I went said the belts were mostly 2.5 inches. *Resists urge to re-make belt* Nah, I’m pretty happy with my belt the way it is. Lol I'm going to leave it... promise... I swear. lol

This is belt number 2.... unless I find a nicer buckle... or I put on a lot of weight, I'm sticking with the one I have. lol

Its a great belt for sure though Costuming is a bug though... Soon I shall have my new glove and tunic material and get that new robe and then Anakin done...then on to doing obi-wan a million times over...

That's what happens, when you're a perfectionist, like you, Justin!
My first 2 belts I made 2.5 inches wide, but for my next one, I went with 2 inches. I think it looks like a little more of a "feminine" proportion that way.

my 5 year old son pestered me this weekend about a jedi belt to the point of insanity... I broke down and took one of my belts, one of his belts, 8 cable "pegs" (used to nail cable to the wall), and a belt clip.........voila...a quick, easy, and most importantly (to a 5 year old) very serviceable jedi belt.......now I can start on the robe he's demanding.........now where did I put that old monk's robe I had way back..?

A lot of people go here: tandyleather.com/
They have these Sam Browne studs, not quite movie accurate, but the best some people can find now. Perhaps someone else has a source for better studs.
You need to find a cool buckle, too, if you don't already have one.

Ah, knew one of the belt makers here would know! Kind of expensive, though. *sigh* I miss Saberbelt.com!
Thanks, Mon-Jas.

Ahh yet another palce for belt parts. :-D I've 3 belts. One is brown, the other black and another is brown but uses the tension of leather peices going opposite directions to secure it to me instead of several snaps as with the other two belts. Belt 3 looks good but I need a differant buckl;e. it'd be the only item I'd change.
